The only figure I will give you is that the latest YouGov poll suggests that 55 per cent of the electorate supports the UK's continued membership of the EU. Right wing extremists who imagine that an EU referendum will be the beginning of the end of immigration are delusional fantasists.

But why wont you offer your own view on numbers ?

Be honest, if you want a wholly unchallenged number of people entering the UK then run with it.

I suspect that any right wing extremists have far greater ambitions than exiting the EU, or is it you just misrepresenting those that have a view differing from you on immigration.

:D:lolol::lolol: This was tongue in cheek right?.......... " it's best just to accept we are all different and avoid the personal insults lesser educated people resort to".... nice one.

And that's a full set.

What's the alternative? Our economic system relies on population growth - particularly as the population is ageing.

I think this is the point people are missing. The benefits society has become accustomed to requires young people funding the older population. We need more people.

Well, one thing Public school did teach me is that If someone's opinions differ from yours it's best just to accept we are all different and avoid the personal insults lesser educated people resort to. I don't know what the standard of education was in the school you attended but at mine they taught one how to deal with people in order than you don't look like a petulant child.

I remember getting a working visa for Canada to work over ome summer during Uni. Went to Toronto. Ended up in one house with about 12 people. I think there were four bedrooms. Only way many of us could make the trip work. Not usre i see anything inherently wrong with people trying to make do whilst they try and progress
Can i ask what you do for a living at present ?

Now there is a generalisation if there ever was one. But you do speak sense in that the vast majority in this country do indeed believe that this simply cannot go on and we are sleepwalking into all sorts of problems.
Reading has around 30,000 Eastern Europeans...bloody hard workers and very nice people who fit in pretty well.
Saying that you have to control your own borders and immigration needs to be halted until we've progressed towards building the infrastructure to cope.
Cameron keeps saying we're a booming economy...
Where's the houses and hospitals and schools etc etc?
Why are we cutting jobs left right and centre in the private sector ?
The economy is a bit of a smoke screen to be honest as the monies are not being put into the infrastructure pot....More people equals more tax,but where is the money going and the 5 billion the immigrants generate?

A disaster is around the corner

LB, i dont think this splits down the line of right wing one side left wing the other, too simplisitc and panders to usual prejudices. Labour lost amny votes based on i,,igration. Anyway, the EU is central to the ongoing economic and political relevance of this country, that i suspect we do agree on

You do know that we have 500 000 people aged between 16 - 24 unemployed, right ??

Actually when i say young in this context its people who are of working age. And yes that is a horrendous number. We need to do more to give people the right skills to land jobs in todays economy. To let people leave school with little english or maths skills is totlally unacceptable (and i point at both parties here). Without a growing capable workforce then we will accelerate our long economic and political descent

Yeah agree the country is very divided and a lot of these cultures tend to be the highly religious types...Many Eastern Europeans do integrate to be honest and do like a few shandy's and a giggle, but of course all towns and cities can be different.
Mostly it's the pakistani,Indians and blacks that don't integrate and prefer their own patch...this should certainly not be happening, but it has for decades.
Problem is "religion" here as most dislike our culture and way of life...yet feel the need to disrespect us and even though we gave them a new life and a fresh start.
Religion more than anything is causing divide by certain ethic groups.
