Really pleased with this signing. Welcome Jamie.

We needed at least one more winger who will challenge for a first team place. We now have this player. If we are going to continue to play 4-4-2 (here's hoping), then another winger of equal quality would be a good acquisition.

Very pleased with this top quality player with Champions league and Europa Cup experience scores goals and still only 25 what's not like

Scores goals?........ 17 in 95 games in a lower league is not inspiring me much I let everyone else wring there knickers out before I get a boner.

Comparing the reaction to Sheff Utd fans comments towards us, with some of the comments from our fans regarding Dunk. We can't understand why Dunk would want to move to a club that only recently ended a stint in the Premier League, financed by parachute payments, recent run in Europe and most importantly, better wage. Sheff Utd fans can't understand why Murphy would want to come here with out facilities, higher division and doubt better wage.

Look at the 'dunk refusing to play thread' for some angry comments at the idea, and compare to Hugo Rune's comment "That's how you do it Marshall! Go on strike if you have to - no shame in that; just get the move down south done asap!"

Can't argue with that. Annoyingly.
I'll have a go :lolol:

Same league as us makes a difference, and for the most part they were as abysmal as us last year. We've strengthened virtually every position now, so if we match what Fulham have offered him in wages what is the incentive to move? They offer nothing that we can't.

Or 71 in 337 if you include his stint in the MTL.

'He shat himself going this far from Scotbland ,no way he will go that far.'

'He's settled in the area. Why would he want to uproot his family, with a very young baby and be even further from their family in Scotland'

'It's quite simple, Murph and his very young family will not want to move to Brighton. They'd be so far away fr their support unit of family it just wouldn't work, that and that fact he doesn't want tho leave'

I never quite understand this argument.

JM was still over 4 hours from Glasgow when in Sheffield.
Now, thanks to the invention of the airplane, he'll be only an hour away from Glasgow, probably 2 hours door to door.

'£1m Bid hahahahahhaha treble it and it might be worth a consideration for a split second, think this is a bit of creative journalism. Why would anyone want to go to Brighton as well ? A serious bid from one of the higher placed Championship clubs would though show us just how serious the board are about getting out of league one. We have no need to sell and Murphy has just extended his contract ................ mind you we had no reason to sell Maguire  Having said that I think there is more chance of us starting the 16-17 season in the championship than Brighton, I think it would be a backwards step for Murphy to go there.'

Having scrolled through this thread, with a degree of excitement. I'm amazed how many posters are negative. There must be a few who suffer from Generalised Anxiety Disorder, I doubt the club could make us all happy if they signed the Barcelona Squad. Anyway I feckin am, and very well pleased with the Clubs procurement staff. In fact I've nearly got over the misery of seeing another of Londons cheating FC getting away with blue (and white) murder.

..two years after our "Game changing investment" we're getting stripped of players by ****ing Brighton.

I'm off to get pissed.

Honestly? I think this makes us a top 6 candidate again. 2 more big signings and we could be automatic candidates. All depends on the manager of course but I've never doubted him since he walked in, he just needed his squad and so far this summer the board have delivered.
