Kent Police have launched an investigation into reports of electoral fraud in South Thanet, the seat lost by Nigel Farage in last week's General Election.

Ukip, which took control of Thanet Disrict Council, apparently did not make the complaint.

Since May 8 #thanetrigged has been trending on Twitter due to the length of time it took for the result of the vote count to be announced.

Conservative Craig Mackinlay took the seat with 18,838 votes and Ukip leader Nigel Farage came in second place securing 16,026 votes.

Ive done enough homework thanks. UKIP targetted 10 seats. They retained one of their two seats, which will likely be lost soon. UKIP, and im sure yourself, understood how voting works uunder FPTP before the election.

ONE seat equals a MINORITY party. Zero seats will equal a.... ?.
