Just far enough away from LDC
It's alright Hampster,...now you have put him in the picture shows he makes it up as he goes along....have yet to hear what guenius qualifications he has.

More unrefined prejudice - keep it going. What exactly was I making up?

My qualifications are largely irrelevant to this debate, but having completed an old fashioned apprenticeship in the finance industry with formal professional qualifications (covering finance and contract law, marketing economics, accountancy and international trade) which ironically the tory government in 1992 decided wasn't mandatory when the bank of England wanted to make them so, followed by a conversion to a degree in management and finance and then post graduate qualifications in marketing, business and project management (all via evening classes or day release)

So not a genius perhaps, but also not a fool

I am surprised that in this day and age they just can't press a button and all the results are known in an instance, but I suppose that would distract from the excitement

This year I'll have my iPad fixed on the key marginal seats. Once the first four or five come in we'll know which way the wind's blowing.

Whatever your political persuasion, it is guaranteed to be a fascinating night and I, for one, can't wait.

Who else is planning on an all-nighter?

Yeah, I love it too - I'm a bit of a geeky nerd when it comes to this kinda thing. And this time round it's more interesting than ever as no-one can predict quite what will happen. Will be spending the night on the sofa with tinnies and Pringles...

Perhaps Seagulls on the Wing could reciprocate? Last I heard was he sailed in a few boats and did a bit of welding but I might be wrong.

At the end of the day, does it matter what qualifications people have when it comes to debating the next government. We all only have one vote!

Can we keep this thread free of partisan propaganda, please?

Discuss what you're eating, drinking, how crazy Peter Snow is getting and the results as they come in and what it might mean for the overall result, but can we please keep this thread clear of the bollocks that has clogged up every other election-related thread over the past few months.

Let's all have a thread of NSC harmony
ps the punters have it wrong, the pollsters have it right

Good question but they will find a way. We could be in for a long run partnership

they won't
if dave caves in and does not have a referendum his own people will stab him in the back.and if he insists he will have one Clegg will stab him in the back and throw his lot in with Ed.
either way his own party will shaft him and they will end up with that baffoon Boris...........good luck with that one

Will probably do what I normally do....plan to ignore it and go to sleep, but end up staying up for 'just one more seat' to be announced.........until about 3am.......

That about reflects my/our normal practice.

Just watching the BBC ten o'clock news. Who advised Ed Balls to be photographed with Delia Smith doing some baking days before polling day?

Cue headlines of Cooking the Books / Half Baked / Too many Cooks etc etc.

Its like shooting fish in a barrel.
The same person who advised Ed to do this......

Up all night with ale and a few bags of mixed nuts. Taken the next day off and will celebrate seeing the BBC in shock as all their predictions go up in smoke. The tories will get a landslide, the Scottish racist party will sink away with nothing other than a hand full of seats, labour and the limp dems will be destroyed and ukip will be the second biggest party. Can't wait😂

I think you might be disappointed on the night......
