Edited to show the primary concern that we should be reflecting on, rather than bitter riposte at another club's success.

Exactly, pathetic, bitter thread that just plays into the hands of those who brand our fans as arrogant/patronising.

To any AFC fans reading this - you've had a great season and good luck in the Premiership. Genuinely pleased for you.

To Bozza - start your transparent click bait threads by all means, but maybe choose a more sensible topic next time.

I work in a Nursing Home and used to enjoy some great discussion and banter with one of the residents who was a life-long Cherries fan. He was over the moon when they came up to our Division but sadly passed away last season before all this success. Wherever you are, Len, I hope you have been able to share in it; a real gentleman an the guy I'll always think of whenever Bournemouth are spoken of. See you in the morning, mate.

Pleased for them but am saddened that of the 4 south Coast teams we will be the only team that hasn't been in the Prem. furthermore we are light years away. Not one of our players truth be told is good enough to grace a top two Championship side ....

Not many of Bournemouth's players are either; the difference is they have good strikers and a great manager.

Good luck to them and good luck to 'Porky' Mike Parry, who said 5 months back that he would jump off Bournemouth Pier if they won the Championship.

The Lallana money will probably ensure they satisfy FFP. They also sold Grabban and replaced him with Wilson, which was a good bit of business. Most of their players have come from the lower divisions and gelled well this season.

They have scored twice as many goals as us this season, and play attacking football. If they go up, then it's deserved on the basis of the results and the way they play football.

I don't think they are an outstanding team, but this division is pretty poor this season and they've beaten what has been put before them.

1. The main point of my post is that with it being very much a 4 horse race still, the pundits and bookies having cemented AFCB into the Premier League already genuinely surprised me. Yes, on form they should now complete the job but this is the Championship - crazy stuff happens nearly every week. Nerves will become a factor too, for all clubs up there, with the finishing line in sight and the stakes so high.

2. What you have interpreted as digs in the first post was merely playing to the audience and how some on NSC feel about them. Nothing more, nothing less.

3. My own personal view, based on what I have seen, is that they've been playing fantastic football of the like that would have the Amex packed week in week out and would have us in a proper state of frenzy right now. Also, it's fantastic for Elphick and Cook, particularly the former who is very much one of us. I'm also a big believer in "the table doesn't lie" once 46 games have been played.

4. I'm able to focus on many things, thanks. Taking 3 or 4 minutes to post this thread does nothing to change my views on the Albion and does nothing to influence our own fate.

5. It wasn't clickbait. It's impossible to tell what threads will get reactions and which ones just sink without trace early on.

But, to recap, this thread was about a 1/10 shot in a four horse race where there could be surprises in store.

What a miserable load of sour graped, hypocritical, downright nasty so and so's there are on this board.
Good luck to Bournemouth; they are not there yet, but I really hope they go up and also win the Championship.

How. On. Earth. Has. It. Come. To. This.

FFP, or using FFP as an excuse not to push on when promotion was more or less in our hands?

So much bitterness and jealousy on this forum. Why do people even care about Bournemouth, let alone hate them? I don't get the obsession with calling them 'plucky' or 'underdogs', is it meant to be demeaning or what? A relatively small club with little history has made it into the multi million pound premier league, surely it's what football is all about. They've been the best team in the league this season and their manager is a fantastic manager. Get over yourselves for a minute and realise what a great achievement it is for the club. People are annoyed because we had our chance and blew it

Think its more to do with the fact that they have highlighted how we have ****ed up our big chance and have been run by clowns. Stadium, training ground, big crowds, PLR and we will still be the last of the South Coast clubs to experience PL football. After years of shit we finally thought a bit of glory and glamour was on the way but blew but little Bournemouth will get there.

Plus the obvious reason-their manager who has done a great job with some 'average' players. I bet he could coach even our lot into getting at least one shot on target in a game and actually scoring a goal or two in over 9 hours of football. Bloom should be trying to find somebody like him.

The only reason I don't want them to go up is because IT SHOULD BE US

After a consolidation season first time around in which they came good at the end of the season and weren't too far off the top 6, they've taken that momentum with a manager that knows the club inside out and played some cracking attacking football to get where they are now. They've used their funds well, bar that South African bloke they signed last season. So fair do's, really.

Whoever decided to sell Elphick and Cook for pittance should be strung up by the testes along the 'legends' wall. Would be great yet horrible to see them playing in the Premier League next season.

And it's been the same old anti AFC audience since time eternal - Simster, Edna, HKFC. You mentioned horses in your reply, well maybe it's about time these three decrepit horsemen (and women) of the AFC Bounemouth Apocalypse could be taken down the knackers yard and dispatched with a coup de gras on behalf of all decent, rational BHA fans.

Just wait for our board to trot out how we won't gamble on big player wages, doing things properly, FFP, blah blah blah.. and how lucky Bournemouth have been

There WILL be a positive spin put on this season by Bloom and Barber, I have no doubts at all, nothing is ever amiss with the good ship Albion as far as those two are concerned. "FFP, difficult to compete and unfair parachute payments" will come into the summing up of the season though. I imagine they may skirt around Bournemouth's success.

5. It wasn't clickbait. It's impossible to tell what threads will get reactions and which ones just sink without trace early on.

This was 100% clickbait. Your opening thread was laced with sarcasm and bitterness. E.G

"It clearly is all done and dusted as the bookies suggest* so, on behalf of NSC, I'd like to congratulate the plucky minnows from Devon (or wherever) on their historic achievement. Well played chaps.

(* - it really wouldn't be funny in the slightest if they fail to take nine points from those three games and end up in the playoffs)"

As for the 1/10 odds, well the bookmakers are rarely wrong and Bournemouth have a good run in whereas the teams around them might not.

I wish them well. It's deserved success.
