Now getting a bit annoying being continually overtaken by numpty clubs while we splutter along in the slow lane tho eh?

Spot on.

I nearly had a heart attack when Rotherham, Brentford AND Bournemouth were above us.

Now its a case of mild angina.

Instead we sell the family silver and replace with the top scorer in L1.

The club who were tenth in the Championship last season, sold their best striker for millions and replaced him with L1's top scorer but one.
He scored against us last week.
They're now top of the table and heading for the Prem...

I went to a world cup final and the lack of passion was staggering, the more corporate football becomes the more soulless, however what do Fifa make in abundance? $$$$$$$$$ which is exactly what BHA need to be viable and survive in modern football. I'm bemused by all these people bleating about major spending on the team but decrying the corporate state of the club, you cant have one without the other.

Scenario A
Paul Barber is asked to get involved with the REMF game but politely declines, citing pressures of work and other commitments. He'd get a slagging from people claiming he doesn't understand the ethos of the club and its supporters, is out of touch, remote and is pissing on the heart and soul of the club.

Scenario B
Paul Barber is asked to get involved with the REMF game and accepts. He still gets a slagging from people questioning his motives for doing so - which I happen to believe is a pretty low thing to say and not what I ever expected to read from Ed.

Paul Barber is a professional administrator, hired to run a multi-million pound business. He never claimed to be a supporter and never will be. He's a highly paid employee and frankly is doing a better job than most of our other highly paid employees who couldn't hit a cow's arse with a ****ing banjo.

We need an emoticon of a huge neverending tongue!

We don't need Barber to be a supporter...we just need him to understand that we ARE supporters....and not his bloody customers. If that penny drops, then I think we'd all be a lot happier.

If only he'd say something like this...

“The fans are the most important people when it comes to how this football club operates and ultimately how the team performs because the atmosphere in the stadium counts for a lot, both home and away. So for us. Yes. We’ve got to get the results right on the pitch, we need to entertain people and want to make sure that when they come to the stadium they have a great time but ultimately we know we’re judged on our results on the pitch. Thats what fans ultimately want us to be best at. So yep. There’s going to be some investment in the team. The chairman has made it clear that he expects us and wants us to be challenging again next season [in the top 6] and over the course of the next few weeks leading into the summer period / transfer window we’ll be working very hard to assemble a squad that Chris believes and we believe can compete next season”

Yes proves he point what an absolute DICKWAD Burke was in identifying the replacement from the lower league/.

Since we sacked Burke, we've recruited Best. Are we really moving forwards?

Yes and his name is BERAM

Re Best. I see why we signed him on loan. I do. Our stikers were hardly prolific and he scoed some for the Toon, CH worked with him before in this dvision, sometimes players at club A its not working for them but at club B when they feel loved it all clicks into place e.g Darren Bent. So well worth a punt on loan.

HOWEVER

That doesnt excuse CH from keeping him in the side when its clear he is gash and utterly disinterested.

Perhaps Baldock was the right player but he didn't fit into our team, had unfortunate injuries, wasn't played in his best position ? Who knows ?
Anyway i think you're point was that you can't succeed in the Championship by selling your beloved 22 goal a season striker (Grabban had arguably a more successful season than Ulloa) and replacing him with someone from L1.
Well Bournemouth did and they have. Who'd have thought it ? Its easy this recruitment lark isn't it.

A good argument in isolation, but did they also lose their best defenders (Upson & Ward) a midfielder (Andrews) and another £2 million player (Buckley) on top of losing Ulloa. Did they decimate their squad to end up top of the league?

Yep - & losing Barnes & Bridcutt possibly weakened us a little too...

Well after 47 years I'm kinda getting used to it. Best chance with this regime we've ever had of changing that for the long term but you might have to put up with halve and halve scarfs every now and again Tom.

I have only missed about four matches at home this season, but I really can't be bothered to go to the last two, and I'm starting to feel guilty about it lol. My passion is at 0%, I just want the season to end now.
I have renewed for next season.

Our very own Iraqi Information Minister of NSC will think of something to justify whatever the club has ever done on here.

And I for one simply cannot wait to be told once again a) just how wonderful everything Albion-related currently is and b) how unquestioningly, silently grateful us mere fans - who clearly are to stupid even to begin to UNDERSTAND just how ruddy difficult it can be to run a football club, for Tony's sake - should be at the moment...zzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzz zz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Personally I am grateful, and we do have a wonderful club now, but I have never known the football to be so damn irritating.

Look on the bright side, we'll not be losing 7 integral key players, and much missed first team regulars, this Summer.

I didn't realise we had a Middle Eastern branch of NSC. But if you're thinking that this representative of the rather more leafy branch up the A272 near Lewes thinks that Holla, Gardner, Hughes, McCourt, O Grady etc are somehow adequate replacements for Buckley, Bridcutt, Ulloa, Andrews and Upson then you'd be mistaken. Very expensive replacements, which it would be decent to acknowledge but i suspect you won't, but not adequate by any stretch. Although O Grady's goal against Arsenal was rather good i thought. .
