To those moaning it is tinpot or cringey. STFU and sing your heart out, 20,000 plus Albion fans singing this in harmony should sound amazing. How people see this as a negative I have NO IDEA.

You'll find that most people are already joining in with GOSBTS already and most around me (myself included) sing the football version of the song)

I just don't get why there's the need to change it to a version we don't use when people are already joining in - fair enough if everyone was sitting in silence when it was on as the teams came out but they don't (is there any recent footage of the fans joining in pre kick off to illistrate my point)

To me, it's the lack of singing during the match that we, the fans should be looking to improve upon and not focus on the only real bit that we already have where the vast majority already join in.

How is the club playing our own anthem with words unique to Brighton in anyway similar to goal music and a drummer?

The club have announced that the words to Sussex by the Sea are going up on the big screens tomorrow on a trial. Firstly, I would like to thank the club for listening to the supporters, and thank the 76.43% who voted in favour of this.

I've already seen the inevitable moans and groans about it! But it was a majority decision!!!

I'm just hoping now that my small campaign a few weeks ago leads to something great tomorrow. I'm pleading that everyone gets behind it and sings the words to create a fantastic atmosphere for the team!!!

The club want to know people's opinions after the game. I'm sure lots will be quick to complain as it's new, so lets get a load of positive ones in!

Absolutely. There isn't an issue with the atmosphere as the players come out and we've coped perfectly well without the "correct" words for as long as I can remember. It's the one time of the match where everyone can already join in and do. Again, I've no issue if the majority want the words on the screen, let's give it a go, fair play to those who have made the effort to get this going and who knows it may make things even better but the insults from some of those who do want the words aren't necessary.
