Great time @bignuts. I managed just under 1:49 at Tunbridge Wells this morning which I was happy with on the back of a week's skiing and four hours sleep.
TW is a nice course, mainly through country lanes with one big hill after about seven miles,well organised and only around 2000 people, would recommend it. Think I saw one BHA shirt?
Anyone doing Eastbourne next week?

I just did a PB of 2:03 on the basis of slovenly level of training. I'm resigned to my role as the Kemy Agustein of the NSC Official Running Thread
Fight you for it. Winner gets a takeaway and six donuts.
Another convert to the Kemy method here, got me an improvement from 2.20 to 2.08.
Thanks Knocky1. I sort of had a great time. It's bloody painful in there and my back is screaming blue and white striped murder but the crowd were fantastic and... well... Brighton is just the best place to be, isn't it?
Came in at 2:39:37. I had hoped to get in under two and a half hours but the crosswinds killed me in the last three miles, as I had to run leaning into the frame to stop it and the head lifting off. I also bumped into a spectator friend I hadn't seen in a decade, which was the icing on the cake. Decent enough for a middle aged bloke with no running pedigree anyway.
Thanks to everybody that turned out to cheer. I have managed to rack up over £2,000 for the charity, which is better than I dreamed of. Feel free to chip in using the link below if you area soppy lunatic.

Well played everyone, especially [MENTION=18183]big nuts[/MENTION] for the time! Excellent effort. I got myself to the finish line to cheer on some folks, I have a lot of respect to you all for being ready to start at 9am!
I ran a 20 miler today, my record distance. I hit a 2:58:18 which really surprised me. I had little left to give but in race conditions could maybe have nailed a 4 hour marathon. Work to be done but an envouraging run.

My son not happy with his time of 1:28 not sure why but mopping around as if the Albion have lost.
16 miles today on a wet and windy Wirral Way. My Brighton marathon schedule said aim for three hours and did it in 2.43 so happy with that. Anglesey Half Marathon next week so I don't imagine there will be any fellow Albion fans there!
I'll buy that time. How much does he want?
Well done. I was considering Eastbourne but Ireland England rugby is on at 3pm. I will have to break the no drinking before the marathon and watch that.

Some great times there, chaps - well done. 1:45 for me too (and 13 seconds). Felt really good up until 10 miles, then the turn did for me. The 1:45 pacer crept up on me and I didn't have much else to give. I lost a bit of focus and decided to look out for other people that I knew were running, dropping to near 9-min miles. Trademark sprint finish after whipping up the crowd, though.
Saw a couple of Albion shirts (including the pink one, which could have been a CPFC REMF fella), the rhino and loads of other Albion-related stuff, including a couple of girls I knew who were running for AITC. Great day, all in all - after an absence of about nine years, it was good to be back doing Brighton Half. I'd parked at Hove lagoon, so made my way back shouting support to all the rest of the runners out on the course. I figured they're the ones that really need it...
Half wishing I was doing Brighton Marathon, but It'll wait. Might try a different one later in the year.

1:32:30 for me today at Hampton Court Half. Really nice course, along the Thames and through Kingston. Would recommend if it doesn't fall on same weekend as Brighton next year. Great running everyone
Landed at Heathrow at 5am, new 5k PB at Preston Park at 9.30 by about 30 seconds (unconfirmed 21.08). Whoop !!
Been awake since 2am so now to fight my way through today and then have a bash at the Steyning Stinger marathon tomorrow jetlag permitting. Going to be very muddy on the Downs tomorrow.

18 miles @7:48 av.pace this afternoon. Last 4 were a real struggle and were over 8min/mil. Nice to get distance in though.
Tough conditions for running today. Wanted to run for 2 hours which was tough when running westwards, managed to cover 15.78 miles so pleased with that as I took in a couple of hills too.
I'm a bit behind schedule for this years marathon, this time last year I had already completed a 16 and two 18's so I'll be looking to step up to 18 next week in hopefully better conditions.

Nice running. What distance will you get up to? I'm not sure what to do with regards to distances in these last few weeks. I have the Loughborugh 1/2 two weeks tomorrow and I'd like to do a 20 miler but not sure what to do in the weekends inbetween.
Anglesey Half for me tomorrow. Unfortunately it's blowing a gale at the moment and I've had a cold all week so not ideal!

Marathon 83 finished in Tel Aviv in 3:39:07. Because of the heat the marathon started 45 minutes early at 5:45am, 3:45am UK time. Thankfully arrived a couple of days early. Temperature hit 30 degrees & race was cancelled at 10:00am with 500 runners still on course! Thankfully finished ok.
Next up a cross country marathon in Eastbourne/Seven Sisters in 3 weeks time. Won't have to worry about the heat!
