So, the band of showers has passed through, with colder air behind and lower dew points.

There is another band just reaching Southampton that seems to be turning to sleet currently.

In a Worthing it was kind of sleety half an hour ago and the temparature dropped from 7 degrees to 4 degrees.

I guess it needs I be a little bit colder though.

I went very grey in Lewes about an hour ago and there was definately snow in the sky but it was 6 degrees not long ago so i presume i must've turned to rain.

Can't see whatever you've attached. It might be worth editting your post and re-attaching - I find that fixes the problem.

There have been reports of hail / sleet showers turning to snow in Surrey, so you never know.

Had a good dumping of snow in Leeds at about 2.00pm.
Drove down the hill from one of our offices to the other, car decided it didn't want to stop at the turn for the second office. It eventually stopped rather sideways about 30 m further down the road, thankfully it is not a busy road. Decided that I wasn't gonna bother trying to turn it round and get back up the hill, so carried on down and drove home. Back roads in the Wharfedale Valley were rather fun
