Ok hands up! Who has worked at amex?

Got something to say or just want fewer pesky ads? Join us... 😊

Did anybody go on the shagfest I.O.W trip? It was the first time I had seen many of the Amex women semi, or totally naked. Opened my door to some girl just wearing a shirt looking for some bloke. Woman I was with was hiding under the bedclothes because she knew her, and didnt want her to see her haha...amazing weekend.[/QUOTE]

I did about a year in the wedding cake around the time of the World Cup in Germany, so 2006?

The job was dull as shit but I did enjoy the social side. Loved calling up the sick hotline after another marathon bender and then passing the phone round to all my mates who'd have their own excuses at the ready, one after another.

The staff canteen, sorry restaurant, was pretty impressive!... no idea what its like now, but they really went for it in the early days..steak bar, salad bar, stirfry bar, along with the usual meat and two veg meals...

If I said 'no comment', that would be a pointless post, but you'd get what I mean though??

Actually, don't go down there too often and as such find it a bit intimidating when I do. Travel a wee bit, and it's one of the most stressful parts for me, trying to negotiate unfamiliar canteens. NY being the worst, they treat you like a right twot if you don't know the drill, how was I to know that I tell you the bread but your colleague the filling:blush:

I worked for the Legal & General for about year in total in the late 90s. Despite meeting some nice people (and utter twonks), I hated being part of a large corporation and the humdrum of being crammed in to a large building with pretty uninspiring work. Not doing anything rewarding in the slightest.

Same, I did 18 months and found it the most dull and lifeless way to live. Sorry to office workers out there.

July '82 to September '89, and holidays thereafter until '92. Friday lunchtimes over the Thurlow made it bearable. Desperate days....

No, not that I recall, its rep went before it. I did do the Dog Tray every now and again until it closed its doors for the last time.

We did a stag for one of our guys, and told him it was fancy dress and all the guys were dressing up as prostitutes. He was the only one who did of course. We handcuffed him to a street sign near the bulldog, dressed in basque, suspenders, stockings and high heels for an hour whilst we went to the Ranelagh.
Not sure why, but he wanted to fight all of us when we got back.
