Overrated by whom? All I see on here is abuse for him.

For what it's worth, he's a 20 year old. He's not the finished product.

It's also worth noting the role he's been asked to play - both last year by Oscar and this year by Sami. They want him to stay deeper and cover the defence. He's scored goals when played further forward...

And once more - he's only 20!

ONLY 20!. Stevie Gerrard was capt of Liverpool at 20 AND played for England!..
What's so great about JFC

Nothing but he's no way near as bad as people make him out to be. He's not England's next Gerrard but he's young, inexperienced and being played out of his favoured position.

We're woeful and they're all over us at the moment. However, in recent years we seem to have been able to pull off smash and grabs raids on them from a similar game scenario, hopefully we can do it again.

So he's not in midfield then?

He's being played as a holding midfielder. A completely different role than his favoured no.10 attacking midfielder playing just behind the striker(s).

What actually is it he's being asked to do that's alien to him? Surely if he was 10 yards further forward he'd still have to pass, run and tackle.
