No idea for your location but if the price includes the flue lining of the chimney, which will be needed, then it costs a fortune whoever you go to. The flexible lining itself is very very expensive and then they have to feed it down from the chimney and fill the surrounding gap with absorbing pellets to reduce moisture build up.
Some don't bother with the flue liner but the stoves burn in a way that greatly concentrates the flue gases and temperature as oxygen to the stove is restricted. Open fires have massive dilution of the fire/gases/heat up the chimney and their chimneys were designed accordingly.
Probably lookibg at circa £1k plus for the flue and stove installation and approaching £1k for a decent stove I would have thought. What have you been quoted?
We've just bought a house that has a wood burner in the sitting room. We got a chimney sweep out to clean the chimney ahead of the Winter. He confirmed that the chimney has not been lined and we should get it done, mentioning that the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning increases significantly without the special lining and some sort of plate at the bottom.
