West Ham fans actually rated him though despite him only scoring 5 in 20 odd. He's an explosive player from what I've seen of him, got a good strike and turn of pace, good technically & quality movement. I'm really not sure where this leaves CMS though :(

Bristol City supporting mate of mine told me....

"Reports our end say we turned down six bids before the seventh was accepted, with one in recent days being for £1.2m

Not so concerned now we've got Agard in, and we possibly might go get another now, but Baldock will be badly missed as he's a great bloke to have around and IMO is fitter than he's ever been, didn't stop running in recent games even though he's not hitting the target.

Doubts over how prolific he can be in the Championship as he's not blessed with outrageous technical ability and can't be relied upon to convert chances but there's no doubt he's been fantastic for City and let's hope that continues at BHA.
"

Sounds like CMS:clap2:

CMS has had a good start to the season & has scored twice already. I'd expect him to keep his place against Charlton.
I imagine Baldock will be on the bench but who knows?
We'll need them both during the season.

This is exactly the sort of smart signing I think we need. Brilliant news. Good luck Sam.

But that would leave us with 3 strikers, only 2 of which are capable of playing to the (well lush) style of play Sami is introducing.

How can NSC spend all summer screaming how light we are in strikers, and then want to have a revolving door policy.

We have the same amount now as last season, and that's when we only played one man in the opposition half.

After 70 minutes a defense that has been run ragged by say Colunga and CMS will have to put up with Baldock and KLL.
Someones gonna get their arses handed to them, this season.

I think this. Can see us letting a few more in than we'd like given Sami's attacking instincts, but also handing out some serious beatings along the way.

The bloke is bang in his prime, top scorer in league 1 last year and Captain of his side. He may well be another CMS type forward but fortunately our current boss appears to want to play in a way that suits CMS (& Baldock & Colunga) type strikers.

All of the top teams who get promoted have 4 or 5 good quality strikers. COG whilst being written off will come good.

I still think we definitely need another centre back and a striker with a bit of presence but isn't a lump either- someone in the mold of Becchio or Murray(sorry!)

Sounds good to me, can't wait to see us rip a team apart..

Got to feel a bit sorry for Bristol City fans. I hate it when we lose players we want to keep.

Still happy days he's another clever, sharp player who fits the new style.
Wouldn't feel sorry for Bris, they've replaced him with a quicker better player in Agard

Really happy with this signing our strikeforce is going to cause lots of problems this season.

Would be good to have another option still though. Someone with height like Becchio who can give us a plan B.

Bolton at the weekend kept making us go wide and hit crosses with no one of any height in the box, which could be our downfall if other teams catch wind of this and it also helps to have a big forward defending. Ulloa was great last year defending corners for us.

I'm astounded that a Brighton fan can have seen enough of either of those 2 players to make that kind of judgment :lolol:

Seen 'em both play live a few times and on TV. It's football, not open heart surgery - no one dies if your opinion is wrong :p

if Sami sticks to the formation he has started with so far there is only one striker
with 2 attacking midfielders/ supporting strikers
if this is buisness done it looks like baldock as the main striker
withCMS and COG as backup
I would suggest Colunga and Jao Tex as no 1 choice for the other two
attacking midfield options .So far Sami has tried CMS Lua Lua kemy Fenelon and crofts
in those positions all with little effect .
Of course with CMS and COG on the bench he can change it to 2 up front
but we have had no indication so far that this is his preference
