The man is an Albion Legend !!
He could end up being a goat buggerer, and I would still drink the sweaty slops dripping from his furry furry Spanish bum crack !!

Led my daughter out as a mascot. Albion legend. The stuff he does away from the limelight is selfless. We have to find a role for him when he retires

true legend calde class in every way possible you are adored here and always will be

Calde, we love you. My biggest cheer/clap today involved you - you are a legend already.
By the way, you played a blinder today with Bruno (Saltor) and it will not be forgotten.
Your contribution to BHA is immense and much appreciated by the fans,
Hola !!

He's deserves it. True to his cause and always gives his all and has contributed to some of best games and memories of late. We need to get him on the coaching team! He's exactly the sort of player and personality we need around the place for our younger players!

You have all got short memories,he wanted to leave us toplay for the stains untill they rejected him

Has that impacted the effort, enthusiasm and desire he's put into playing for the Albion? No, so it's pretty much irrelevant. Steven Gerrard was seconds away from signing for Chelsea, do Liverpool fans prefer to remember that or all if the good things he's done at the club?

I loved Calde way before you lot, so there ! I would watch with awe from an ex full backs perspective. He would be in my top three on the teamsheet every week. Pleased that he is getting his full recognition hopefully just for his on field performances.

Have we set a precedent?

Unsurprisingly the fella clearly can't play Sami's style for 90 minutes.

What do we do next week?

Honest question - have there been more than, say, five more popular Albion players in the past 30 years? I don't just mean GOOD, I mean popular (which nearly always comes with a certain quality expectation).

I'd say Gary Hart rivals him, but can't think of anyone else. And rightly so. I love INIGO.

I love Calderon way more than I ever loved Gary Hart. Hero.

Incidentally, it's Charlton on Saturday, isn't it? He does like scoring against Charlton (as does LuaLua).

Worth a cheeky look at the goalscoring odds, no?

Garry Nelson, possibly (time fades the memory).

Aside from that, I'm struggling...

Seems that Hyppia was going to sub Calde for KLL in the first half but the sub was postponed when CMS equalized.... Just saying.

I nearly mentioned Sir Garry, but despite being extremely popular here,. he wasn't really here long enough to command the legendary status of OGH or Calde. I don't think anyone else comes close.

Was it true that before we scored, LuaLua was ready to come on to replace Calde? I saw Andy Naylor tweeted that I think, but wasn't 100% sure.

Not even close, imo. Calde >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hart. Hart was lauded (rightly) as a real TRIER in a bang average team. Calde is an absolute GENT.

Not a bad shout at all. I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about Nelson, as a player or as a person.
