Trouble / violence at gigs.

I actually was involved in quite a serious moment at a gig in London last weekend. I don't want to name the venue or band because what happened is still being investigated. I was arrested and it took me a long long time to persuade the police that I was just trying to calm things down. They are still to be convinced that she regularly cries that much despite her saying "please just let us go, it's for the best" while hugging and kisssing me lovingly. Jobsworths. Always looking for problems the police.

That Rejects gig in Southall must rank pretty highly in the violence stakes?

The meteors were due to play the next night....

Oh your going seeing them soon in Germany ain't ya !

Yes. Friday 12th Sept. They have switched the venue which is a shame as I wanted to go to SO36 as it's quite a legendary old school venue. The Cockney Rejects are playing soon at SO36; its like the last 30 years never happened.

Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads
Madness - Bton Centre
The Jam - Last gig
The Mission - Top rank
Possibly, Flowered Up - Zap. Can't remember if their was any fisticuffs but the whole evening had a nasty undercurrent.
Blur - Ally Pally
The Twang - Dome

and rather bizzarely, at a Paul Weller charity gig at the roundhouse in 2008, witnessed some bloke get knocked spark out. (hardly very charitable)

2 - The Macc Lads Worthing.
In a similar vein, the roadies were either ex squaddies or a Freddie Mercury tribute act.
Anyhoo they were mentals, anyone on stage was violently removed.
Fella gets up on stage, stands right on the edge with his back to the crowd.
Roadie comes over and fella catches him with the cleanest jaw breaking punch I have ever seen.
In true 'toon fashion roadies jaw moved a foot across from his head.
Fella waves goodbye to the rest of the now marauding roadies, and jumps back into the crowd.

Happy days.

Rrrr the Macc Lads. Literally banned from every venue in the country. First came across them when a guy at work played there album over the P.A. system.
Best track for me is "Sweaty Betty".
