See how much of the "£10 mill" is given to the manager for new players.

What a lot of you seem to forget is that Paul Barber is paid less than most of the first team squad who will be on at least £10K a week, i.e. over £500,000 a year.

When he scores a goal or saves a penalty, he can no doubt renegotiate.

Do we even know that? But even if he did I very much doubt Gus scouted him, found out the relevant information about his availability, negotiated the fee with the club in Spain, negotiated the personal terms with Ulloa and his agent etc.
Maybe I wrong. Maybe Gus is a one man football club and can do EVERYTHING at once.

He certainly flew over to Spain twice to talk to Leo personally in the 18 months it took for him to get his Spanish passport & citizenship.

Some of it might, some of it will offset losses by paying bills. Are you familiar with that concept, or do you write off debts by twice going into administration?

I think that Poyet, Zigor Aranalde (at the time our Spanish scout) and Stephenson (Burkes predecessor) were responsible for the setting up the deal, which was held up for months while Leo got his Spanish passport.

Stephenson left in August 2011' so wouldn't have been involved.

I thought I was raising a valid point.
All this high five- ing about the fee is a bit premature. You've sold your best player and only goal threat, so you need to replace him with a like for like.
Now everyone knows your holding folding, the prices will rise accordingly.

Well if you work back from Ulloa signing date January 2013 the 18 months I believe we were chasing him that would be July 2011 and surely Stephenson would have been involved at the start. Burke started at the Albion Jan 2nd 2012.

We haven't got anything yet as we haven't heard officially that he's passed his medical or held up a Leicester shirt. He wasn't our only striker. We have two & probably just looking for a third, who may or may not be like for like.

A) It's 8 not 10.

B) No idea, we have to comply with FFP to avoid getting fines and transfer embargoes.

C) The thread is about Paul Barber being good at his job.

And more importantly:

D) WTF has it got to do with a Palace fan?

Oh come on, I'm not being abusive or taking the pee, I'm just curious why Barber's gone from whipping boy to golden boy.
It's not North Korea is it ??

So I take from that answer there isn't anyone.
How's the signings of Caulker and Sigurdsson going on, have you got these over the line yet with all the Palace millions available?

Also how is the new ground plans coming along, it must be nearly four years since the high profile announcement with the artist impression

Or is going to be more expensive cladding?
