Not a UKIP supporter but they do have other policies such as abolishing the bedroom tax , mending potholes instead of vanity road schemes such as cycle lanes , stripping out unnecessary layers of management and executives in the NHS , introduce more grammar schools , reintroduce weekly bin collections , end preferential treatment to travellers and then treat them on an equal basis , reduce council tax to the lowest possible level , higher rate of income tax deducted on earnings of £45k+. Oh , nearly forgot , restricting immigration by only allowing in those who will be an asset to the UK.

You are not allowed to talk sense where UKIP is involved as the mob will call you racist, thick, uneducated etc,etc

If Cameron allows an in out election Farage is out of a job. If the vote is IN then he's had his time, if the vote is Out then he got what he wanted and unless he finds a new campaign he's had his time too.

Errr .... yes. And those of us considering voting for UKIP get that. It's only the rise in UKIP popularity that has forced Cameron into offering a vote and Clegg into joining a TV debate.

Given the way UKIP are currently unraveling it will a hard sell to convince any normal person they're not racist, thick, uneducated etc etc. As a councillor you'd have to be exceptionally brainless to Tweet racist stuff about Lenny Henry.

No matter how you feel about Europe voting UKIP in the European elections is pretty much a wasted vote, all is does it makes us ineffective on the European stage. I'm sure all the UKIP MEP's will stay away from Brussels and return all their expenses to the British purse

I'm not that politically literate, as it were but UKIP come across as the party that people would vote for out of anger for the other parties...but then regret it soon afterwards.

And as usual someone making up "facts" about UKIP. Roger Helmer MEP for example has an 88% voting record in the European parliament. That's better than many Labour, Tory and Lib Dem MPs in the UK parliament.

I don't have a problem with people debating with facts but the making up of stuff ( like the in the immigration thread ) just makes people like myself even more determined to vote UKIP.

UKIP will win the most seats at the European elections. But I don't think that, outside the political arena, anyone cares that much. They won't take a single seat at the general election.

I'd like to think you are right, there seems to be more than the average loony gracing positions in the UKIP party. However, I personally think they are going to do very well. Only because millions are pizzed off with Conservative and Labour and the Liberals have shot themselves in the foot (and damn near everywhere else) by Cleggs selfish graving for power. What are the options?
... For me disband party politics, vote for the best candidate.

Did you not have the back of a fag packet to write out on then?

I like Farange for coming out and saying that people would be happier to be poorer and not in the EU rather than have a more successful economy and be in it. His argument is that people would be happier if they heard fewer foreign voices and this intangible benefit would outweigh lower growth and higher government debt.

In honesty, I must confess I've not been very interested in what Farange has had to say. But if the above is true perhaps I should. For I believe in all of that. And if they'd like to add to that a rethink on the whole ridiculous correctness krap that's crept into our lives which flys directly in the face of common sense, I'll vote for them myself !

He is a one man, one policy party and as such has limited appeal on the wider stage. If Cameron allows an in out election Farage is out of a job. If the vote is IN then he's had his time, if the vote is Out then he got what he wanted and unless he finds a new campaign he's had his time too.
Think you'll find that the reason that UKIP are getting support is that they listen to the people, not like the other parties. Lib Dems are purely pro Europe,Labour promised a referendum then changed their mind, Tories did the same and the Lib Dems demanded a referendum on the Alternative Vote and got it with the promise of a shake up of the parliamentry boundries...then reneged after the referendum.

Where do 'the people' say they want lower economic growth and a higher national debt?

The same place where it says UKIP will deliver lower economic growth and a higher national debt maybe...it may be your opinion but not everybodies. If your referring to jobs in Europe,I will say again...We import more from Europe than we export,we pay over £50 million a DAY to stay in it so they can dictate our policies on our working hours and saddle companies with miles of red tape...nameless 'politicians' who you and I cannot vote out. There is a whole world to trade with and if our goods are good enough they will sell.
