This. There are a lot of very bitter people on here who can't have very much going on in their lives. It's embarrassing.

Not really. Most people on here have lots going on in their lives. Many of these people also just happen to think that Poyet acted like a complete c*nt during his final days at the Albion, and is doing the same at Sunderland, and will continue to do the same wherever he goes.

He will make a lot of fuss about his future, will hint at walking, but will be fired before he has a chance to resign.

Agreed.

What a load of judgemental BS. You know that all the people who realised Gus was/is a big-mouthed ungrateful egotist were/are:
'very bitter people ...'
'... who can't have very much going on in their lives'
Rude. Arrogant.

Do you know he was harshly treated? No. Then support your club, not the egotist.

Yes, yes, we know you have all the facts surrounding the circumstances ...... allegedly. I support my club but not blindly. Tony Bloom is a great Chairman but not beyond question or fault.

He won't resign he will just keep peddling out riddles and rumour of some sort of conspiracy against him until the owner loses patience and sacks him. Pretty much what he tried here apart from the fact our owner did not blink and let his mouth talk his way into a dismissal

Indeed he (Tony) is not. But, he's doing a pretty good job isn't he? How about Gus? Is he doing a good job in your opinion?

I am still baffled as to why the Sunderland board even gave him the job really. They clearly backed away from initially, only to come back a couple of weeks later.

He's never given the impression that Sunderland were anything more than a stepping stone for him. Again.

And now that the going has got a bit tougher, he is giving the distinct impression that he could always walk away or play golf. Again.

And apparently the club is rotten to the core and people running the club aren't backing him. Again.

Good manager at our club for most of the time, perhaps we should just be grateful that it didn't turn to shit too early, as it has done at Sunderland.

You sound like a sad man who, despite the ever-growing evidence to the contrary, continues to mistakenly overestimate the ability of your ex-boyfriend, and just can't get over the fact the latter's true colours are shining through, as he, not for the first time, admirably demonstrates that he is an ungrateful big-mouthed egotist, who can't accept responsibility for his own failings.

Unlike some on here, I don't feel the need to link every post on here to how much of a bustard our ex manager is, perhaps this is some kind of personality disorder, i don't know. However, whatever anyone thinks Poyet was a great manager for us, for three and a bit years, and I am grateful to him for that. Now he has gone, I personally don't care what he does, unless it nhas a bearing on us,anore than I care what happens to Slade , Adams, pr even Mullery

Anyone who signs up and regularly posts on any internet forum doesn't have a lot going on in their lives, bitter about Poyet or not.

Not everyone thinks that though, I'm still not convinced that the club was innocent throughout the whole thing & still consider Gus to be an Albion legend.

Bloom has to protect the club from instability. Letting someone take us down the wrong path and unsettling players is damaging long term. Once the trust has been lost between employer and employee there is only one outcome. If Poyet could have sacked Bloom, Barber and Burke he would have done.

I don't think so.

In my eyes an Albion legend wouldn't have gone about his business the way Gus did. All the bullsh!t live on tv making out the club hadn't told him about him being sacked, saying we'd hit the ceiling etc , etc.
to be a legend he would have given a rousing speech at the end of the Palace game and said we go again next year, and for him to still be here trying to work with the youth set up and the training ground which he was heavily involved in and doing what OG is doing now on a limited budget.

He chose to work his way out the club, because he knew he'd be found wanting , not as a manager, because I think he does has something, but as an honest individual.

Why do you resort to personal insults to put your point across?

Could be wrong, but he will wait until pushed so that he can grab the $$$$$$$ for the remainder of the lucrative contract. Once bitten, twice shy ... he will ensure that the way the professional & savvy Bloom & Barber outfoxed him, will not be repeated.

BBC5live Monday Night Football Club summed it up last night, and Talksport have said the same .... with Gus "it's always someone else's fault". Talksport mentioned he'd had a supportive and generous Chairman (TB) at the Albion, but still whinged and moaned about stuff. Great that the outside football world have begun to take note, about Poyet's traits and inadequacies, because initially when he was suspended last year, for a while with that persuasive gob of his, he had the media in his pocket about the way he'd been mistreated.

Doe's it matter? I hate to break it to some on here, but what he doe's or doesn't do has no bearing on our club whatsoever. He is our ex manager , he left a season ago nearly, move on for goodness sake

You have made 4 different posts this afternoon, in the space of an hour, having a go at people criticising Gus and not being able to move on.

Do the batteries in your irony-detector need replacing?

5 posts and counting. I would rather have a Gus debate than hear about your fixation for your ex wife, who is a manager, about to come out of work with a mental illness according to some on here. Get on with life.
