I do like him for the amount of effort he puts in every time he plays, but I have to say it wouldn't disappoint me too much if he went. Often seems to grab the opposition players shirt in the penalty area and don't like his attempts to wind up the opposition (arm round neck, rub of their head, or in the last game a pinch of the earlobe) but thats probably just me.

That was exactly what I loved about him, great servant to club.
Thanks Adam and good luck.

One of the last pieces of the old Albion has sadly left. Probably didn't didnt fit in with the new corporate PLR face. Very, very sad day.

Must mean we are getting another CB, surprised he only went to Bristol City, no offence to them of course just thought he'd at least be able to get a championship spot, fair play to him though he probably wanted the gaurunteed first team football, which is fair enough.

Cheers for the service Adam, you will be missed and good luck, sad day in a way but that's life as a football fan, players come and go, Adam was just one of those players you couldn't ever see going.

Adam has been a wonderful servant to the Albion but, if we are to progress in the future, and as he is unlikely ever to claim a regular place, it is good that AEA is allowed to leave so that he can continue his footballing career and one where he can continue to make a substantial contribution.

As a centre back, he is not going to add to our upward push and indeed, I agree as others have said, heart has been in mouth sometimes with some of his in play/not in play activity. In considering others, it has to be said that GG needs to be replaced soonest for similar reasons and, whilst Matty Upson is even older, he is different class and, I am sure, a replacement which could be deferred until new talent is introduced/brought on.

Best of luck to Adam, a truly nice guy and, dare I say it, 'An Albion Legend'.

I've seen many better players come & go but really sad that we'll not see AEA in full 'warrior' mode out on that pitch for us again. He feared no one and yet would do the odd play acting too, not always a good thing.

Typical was a match earlier this season, he had not long been on for Greer and there was a ball near the half way line that a forward was moving to collect when Adam thundered in like a steam train to smash that ball out and, without touching the player, making sure he knew he was around.

Devastated by the loss of Adam - loved having him in the team over the Christmas period and thought he did really well. Far to good to drop out of the Championship in my view. Hope the rumour of a new central defender is true otherwise we just have Dunk.

a great servant of the club and a fans' favourite. It won't be the same without AEA but we move on and must allow Oscar to build his own squad, not just tinker with what Poyet left behind.

Oscar's had 7 months to assess his squad and this is his first real chance to restructure. Tough love but we've got to trust him.

Good luck Adam.

Great Albion legend. All the very best to him. Shows how much we are progressing that we can easily afford to lose players if the quality if Barnesy and AEA . Thanks guys and hope your careers progress as you wish.

Well I hope our coming purchases pan out. Though trusting the BHA overseers, as I do, I have confidence it will. But am more than a little disappointed to see both Ashley and Adam (Warriors) both gone in this window. Fingers crossed. :salute::salute:

Legend but right time. Either Dunk takes his chance or moves on in summer too?

I don't think we'll spend big on a replacement which could be a mistake, but could be great if Dunk does develop rather than rotting in the reserves and then doing his thing elsewhere

I'm really sad to see him go, I always had faith in him as a player, when he was younger he was often played out of position but he always gave 100% and never let the boo boys get to him. Good luck with your new club Adam, I'm sure both you and City are destined for a return to the championship before too long...

I never thought I would ever live to see the day to say I was sad to see Al-Abd leaving.... turned into a good defender and it should have been Greer leaving....Good Luck Adam
