Those of us who invaded the pitch at Bournemouth might have trouble with this one.W.C.P. hang your head in shame.

raymondbriggs, hang your head in shame.

Mullery's exact words:
"Well, the players... they don't understand this sort of thing. I mean, you can see the frustration of the supporters about what they've heard today from David Bellotti. But it's not the way, as you say, to disrupt a football match itself. If they want to sit outside the ground or sit outside the Goldstone let them do that but as far as the players are concerned they want to get back and start playing again."

Nothing more, nothing less.

My memory must be fading, I just remember Mullers taking us to the top flight! What did he do about the Bournemouth pitch invasion? Also that pitch invasion was mpre than just a protest as I recall a load of Brighton took the opportunity to invade the Bournemouth end

Yes your memory is poor,he was working for ITV that day,the match was broadcast live,he said we were" animals scum and doing our cause no favors" he gave the impression he was a firmly in the Archer/Stanley camp.

Also we made no attempt to get in the Bournemouth end.Just a few minor scuffles with a few irate locals on the Longside, most of ours involved were trying to escape the retaliation of the Plod.

I dont remember Mullery but I do remember seeing the Bournemouth fans being chased down the terrace on the side. Am I thinking of a different game?

You must have a shortened edition of the game. My VHS copy would prove you wrong if only I hadn't dumped the player.

Oh how many on here remember the low esteem that Challis was held, the songs we sang. he was particularly poor and that he refereed on more than one occasion when we played. The match against Palace at Stamford Bridge being his low point!!!

What do you think of Ronald Challis?
Same as I think of cristal pallarse
What do you thing of Cristal pallarse?
Their all F@@@@ng B@@@@@@ds

Just seen the footage. On telly it looks like more old fashioned invading the Bournemouth end than a protest! Have a look at the footage

I don't need to.I was on the pitch. The Bournemouth end was behind the other goal.None of tried to get up there.

No, I've just watched the post-match interview with Mullery for his further comments. You really do owe him an apology.

The people who own Forfars are big Albion fans. Always have been. Just that they didnt think the ground should be at Falmer for various reasons. They were entitled to that opinion. Many shared it and well, I wish the ground was near Brighton station as well, but it wasn't possible.

Because they live at Falmer Village!
