That's entirely dependent on the number of consoles available in the first place, isn't it?

Already pre ordered a PS4 so I'll be in on the ground floor.

For anyone worried about paying for PS+ it's a great deal generally, they regularly give away for free AAA games just 6 months after release (uncharted 3 etc) and you get a hefty discount on online sales, so you not just paying to play online there's a lot of added benefits.

Mainly only play FPS so as long as it has BF4 and COD looks like PS4 at the moment. May wait a while after release to see if there's any problems online etc. that's one area where xBox wins hands down at the moment and I'm happy to pay for it, PS3 online is horrible experience.

The lack of parties and cross game chat are pretty terrible, and are finally now in on PS4. Not sure PS3 online is a horrible experience though? In what way?

Always preferred xbox and as long as they keep making forza and halo I will continue to buy and now you have to pay for online gaming on both it makes the choice easier

IGN said:
Microsoft’s Don Mattrick has addressed concerns about the compulsory connectivity requirements of Xbox One.

“"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it’s called Xbox 360.”

Was going to stick with xbox mainly because i hate the Playstation's controller and love Xbox live, But The restrictions now inplace on the Xbox one has made me change my mind! And if Microsoft think that stopping people sell/trade games is not an issue i think that they will be in for a shock. My PS4 is now pre ordered.

This is what the current worldwide GameStop poll is looking like. I'm guessing the Saudi's took a bribe.

Edit: That's Saudi Arabia at the top, sloppy cropping on my behalf.

I shan't be buying either until the price comes down, recently bought a PS3 for £120 which in my opinion is an acceptable price for a games console.

Have both PS3 and 360 - prefer 360 controller but PS menus.

Based on lack of back compatibility and MS's always attached requirements I'll be buying neither for a couple of years at least I think.

Unless of course the next Elder Scrolls comes out only on one or both of the new platforms and not the old ones... then I'll have to get one, but on the evidence so far, it'll be Sony!

Elder Scrolls Online comes out next spring on the PS4 and Xbone

Microsoft has really shot itself in the foot with the Xbox One. All we wanted was a powerful gaming device that can handle cutting edge games for the next five years, and a solid but simple online experience. They have given an entertainment device which plays games as a secondary option, as well as stringent DRM controls for second hand games/rented games and the "always connected" requirement. I can see the PS4 outselling the Xbox One quite significantly, and I'm glad. We need to get the message across game developers can't **** the customer around and think they'll still sell millions of units.

It's a strange one. The PS3 has always been a marginally superior piece of kit to the Xbox 360 BUT was it released later and cost more money.

With the next gen consoles we are lead to believe they will both be available around the same time and whilst the Playstation once again edges out its MS competitor in specs, this time round it's actually CHEAPER than the Xbox. It is already the obvious choice but when you factor in the non DRM element it's a complete walkover for the Sony machine.

Incredibly difficult to see why ANYONE in their right mind would buy the new Xbox
