North stand standing what a joke

The club has said the new blocks have four rows at the back for standing. I have not counted but that must mean there are 300ish standing seats available.

Anyone who stands and does not move to these new seats will have lost any validity to there stance next season.

P.s was it the bloke making wanker gestures at the stewards and inciting all around him to stand up that was evicted or another "innocent"

If you lot didn't break the law you wouldn't be ejected. There is no sense saying 'but everybody else does it'. That doesn't matter at all, the law is the law. If you stand up then f***ing leave the stadium.

It always seems to be the North stand moaning about stewards, you rarely get a post about people in the South (home) or West or East moaning about them! Coincidence?

We can only assume the complainant must have been directly affected by him rather than other around him, luck of the draw.
If he was standing, and continued to stand after being asked to sit then he has nothing to complain about we all know the rules and terms of entry.
Deserved to be removed.

Don't agree that he deserved to be removed, with so many others (including me) standing around him.

Very much looked like the stewards wanted to exert a bit of authority and for whatever reason this chap was singled out.

If anything either evict nobody, or 500 standing fans.

Singling out one person just alienates others who will side with this chap and lose respect for the stewards. I am defo in this camp now, where previously I always felt the stewarding was good.

People keep trying to find something to fight against when there is no reason. They have a job to do and are told what they have to enforce, so don't criticize them like those on the ground are making the decision. Furthermore doesn't it say in the programme that people have to sit because of safety regulations or something, people have been told plenty of times to sit and if you are given adequate warning then fair enough get kicked out just do not pretend that people are being unjustly removed. The funny thing with all these stories is that it always involves a person who has done nothing wrong and unjustly removed by the totalitarian stewards who get paid to ruin their fun.

Fu**ing moron! Piss off back to the library and read your book!
It's a game of football! People stand and people shout, FYI I was about 3 rows from the guy who was ejected and certainly did not deserve it! He wasn't rude or abusive just very OT stewards so go get a life

He stood, that's enough for an ejection. It doesn't matter if others were doing it, it doesn't matter if he was singled out. If he persistently stood then he should quite rightly be ejected. Hope you are next.

The problem is as we all know, you cannot physically evict everyone who is contravening regulations, so all they can do is single out what they deemed are failing to comply and make examples of them.
As news of it grows like it is here then next time the next one will be less likely to argue about what the regulations are and sit down when told.
Lets be honest, we all know the guy was just arguing with the stewards although he knew what they were doing and why.
What was he hoping to achieve by not sitting down when asked?

Is the right answer, it is an all seating stadium

Quite right.

We must obey all rules no matter how unnecessary they are, and we should definitely obey anybody with any pseudo-authority no matter how rude or ignorant they are.

Well questions need to be asked if 1 person was picked out of quite a few who were doing it. Im not defending the guy - more just confused why he was singled out, unless comments were exchanged between the Stand Manager and the guy - which is why people need to keep their mouths shut.

Why thank you! An element of discretion needs to be applied! The guy was towards the back where everyone stands so why single him out?
Bet your a barrel of laughs to go to the football with! Do you sit there at half time listening to a Walkman eating a cheese sandwich by any chance?

Rather than resorting to cheap insults what you say is correct on discretion, the clubs needs to either enforce a no standing policy or not.

Currently it seems to be erratic
