If I've understood you properly that is exactly my point. These places have always been high crime, high density areas as opposed to the leafier parts of England. I've lived in some shitholes myself during the changing fortunes of my life and I much prefer living in a nice area, who wouldn't?

Correct, the Brits stimulated the economy by buying Brand New property. That was until the banks came along and screwed it all up. I don't feel that the same has happened in this country. Yes we know a lot of immigrants work, pay their taxes, but there is also a lot of immigrants enjoying much better benefits than they would get at home, and then there is all the other rubbish that has gone on, health tourists, people we can't deport because of their human rights, the list goes on. If we just had the workers we really need, immigration was properly controlled I don't think there would be many complaints. At the moment the system is not working.

To be honest im totally confused by your post. What I am laughing at is the fact that some people on here are getting offended on behalf of races they have limited/no personal experience of.
I know I do not come across as racist, I am one of the least racist people you could meet. But I will still have my opinion. Immigration is now a joke, the law regarding immigration is a joke, the help immigrants get is a joke, free healthcare for immigrants who have not paid a penny is a joke, benefit for immigrants is a joke, the fact there are still immigration is a joke.

London is not as diverse as you think, the Muslims do not want to mix with us, the eastern europeans do not, the africans want what they can get nothing more nothing less. Genuinely in my experience the only people who want to mix with us are the west Indians, frankly I would be quite happy to see the rest go back home. Does that make me racist? some would think so but my GF and my friends would certainly tell you different. IN fact they are all of the same opinion on varying degrees, some of my friends are far more vocal about it and they are black. But as they themselves will tell you, their parents had to come here, fit in and WORK for a living. If I would have been rude to an adult no matter what colour, my dad would have slapped my face off. Hence I never was, now the youngsters run about like animals, obviously white kids as well. Look at the riots, look at the video footage, you need see no further proof. Me and my friends were in Catford when the police were watching the scumbags, just looking at them. My friend shouted to the police either you f***ing beat them or we will, he was threatened with arrest. You couldnt make it up, only in England.

the only time the OB got agitated locally is when they knew everyone one side had had enough and werent going to have it any more and were on their way to lewisham. the OB (yorkshire, other out of town forces) were gunning for eltham while lewisham police stayed in their barracks so to speak. the media portrayed everyone as f***ing white chav lowlives whilst knocking one out over kurds and turks who were doing the same thing. whereas the truth was very different people of many races in my area were telling these cnts to f*** off and sticking their necks on the line to so so.

but the media loved eltham white trash racists etc etc whereas everyone from lee green to the yorkshire grey black or white came out because they were f***ing sick of it. but thats not such a good story.

I am not getting offended on behalf on anyone. All i am saying is that the problems in the areas of London we are talking about can not be attributed or blamed on people because of their race. They are about cyclical unemployment, poverty, lack of opportunity (percieved), a good old lack of old fashioned respect as you allude to in your later post, maybe some over crowding too. but all these things affect or are perpetuated by all races and nationalities, it is not just the Muslims and the Africans who have a lack of respect for others it is a certain number from all races, including (again as you suggest) white kids.

The riots people keep referencing here are a perfect example of this. It looked to me that they involved people from all races. A wonderful example of multiculturalism but also an example of people pissed off with the factors that cause them to live in manner that we have been discussing.

I live in and around people from many different races and many different countries with very little problems. Why? because the factors other than race are not as pronounced where I am. You can blame the Muslims and Africans as much as you like but you should realise that around the world they manage to live in communities with white people perfectly happily.

I lived in Southbrook road, from when I was born until I was ten. Anyway, everyone was sick of it. I saw them kick off in Catford and raid JD sports but the police done absolutely nothing, just sat and watch. I would have totally agreed if the police had baton charged them, we would have been happy back them up even. They did Lewisham. You know what they done to Croydon and Clapham, Just animals. They were also meant to have done Bromley but I saw one smashed window so not sure how many were up there. I still cannot believe the Police done f*** all to be honest. I was driving past Bellingham bus garage and I was pulled over for speeding, nothing on the road or even anyone about. I couldnt believe that there are actual ***** rioting and im getting pulled for speeding. If you look at the videos of the rioters though, just look at the percentages. The only thing im happy about is the sentences they got. I knew of a twat who stole some trainers, stashed them down an alley and when he went back to retrieve them they had been nicked he served six months.

Your an apologist, everything no matter how bad is somehow due to other factors out of their control. Funny that as I have said my friends are all black/mixed race but it is only me who has seen the inside of a prison, on remand I might add and fully cleared due to self defence(me vs 3 others, but I had a bar). We all got jobs/our own businesses, none of us had money in our families, so we had to go through all the same stuff growing up, lack of opportunities etc. I was expelled from school at fifteen but I have always worked and now have my own company. I certainly would not go to another country and believe that a job is MY RIGHT, you have to put a bit of work in.
You say go to other countries and look there, BUT this is a thread about London. I personally can see it just going further downhill which is a shame.
