My sums are we were at least 6000 down for the Newcastle game which I think would have sold out. Average ticket plus spend in ground about £40, that's £240000 we lost. TV money is £68200 per club. So we lost money. Do we have to be on tele or maybe we can opt out. Hopefully Arsenal/Swansea will be on ESPN.

1. Average ticket / spend is nowhere near £40 (for example me + two kids + 2 pies = total of £50 / Average £17)

2. The TV money, plus the extra for allowing the advertising boards, was nearly £200k

Carry on...

How can you lose money you don't have in the first place?

this.

I still cant beleive we are having threads about this, look at the other championships sides attendances and then tell me "we lost money" absolute drivel. It was a cracking turn out just after christmas and on TV. end of.

In the same way that my Mrs can spend £100 but then rationalises that we are £10 better off ???

:lolol: That's some tremendous logic

Being Newcastle I should imagine the club more than quadrupled the pie sales and their team did not turn up saving any costs on that front. I think the fans should also be given an option of an auto pie scheme where by a staff member turns up halfway through the match shoving a pie in your mouth and pulling £5 out your pocket without any effort on your behalf needed other than chewing and swallowing

Sorry for the empty seats but I bought 6,000 seats hoping to find 6,000 mates but ended up going on my own. So we actually sold out so we must have made money. And for those who wanted the breakfast pies, sorry I bought all of them when I arrived and waited to give them to my mates but ended up throwing all but two in the bin as I couldn't eat more than two. Too many baked beans I am afraid, made me fart constantly.

2,900 people had complimentary passes. Don't know how many turned up but they would have been counted in the 'attendance' figure.

Blimey mate, you might remember the good times. Shame you don't remember your maths classes.

Is that the reason you were left with all those seats?
