Bridcutt to Norwich as well?

We might as well check to see if they want Buckley as well.

It was mentioned on Saturday that Norwich are interested in CMS, Bridcutt and Buckley, but can only afford 9 million, so the deal could only be for 2 of the 3.

Guess it will be an interesting January.

With next years £40m TV money in the bag? I'm off to buy Delia's latest to help out

We cannot afford to lose Bridcutt or Hoskins but my guess would be on the dictator selling both and keeping McSmudger, as selling him would be admitting he is wasting Tonys Money on strikers that cannot play the passing game

How much would it cost to replace Bridcutt

Nothing, thats what we got him for.

I love Bridcutt he is class, however finding someone for reletively little money in the role he plays is a whole lot easier than getting a striker to replace CMS

He blew it by not signing 2 decent strikers in the summer
I can wait another season if needs be, we'll have the training ground up and running at the end of 2013 (hopefully). I'm pretty content considering where we have come from, I'd rather follow the Swansea than the Pompey model.

Bridcutt will cost £££+ for anyone wanting his services.

I genuinely do not know how we would replace Bridcutt. He is the heartbeat of the team and the Albion should learn from the huge mistake with Murray and break the bank to keep him.

He is under contract to 2015 so it is Norwich who will need to break the bank.

Agreed. I am sick and tired of letting our best players go for next to nothing.

Agreeing with what others have said above, selling Bridcutt would be a massive mistake, but CMS less so provided we invest wisely in ideally two strikers who actually are suited to the style of play advocated by Gus.

Bridcutt is regularly our best player on the pitch, but playing in the less-glamorous holding role means that it often goes missed. I would quite like it to stay that way!

We're missing the one most who went for nothing though!

Never a truer word said etc. Gus must have nightmares about this. A monumental cock up.

All this talk of £5m is absolutely ridiculous as that may be his relative value to us but midfielders don't command that sort of fee so we would be very lucky to get £2m. Just a thought if he did go could Hammond do the job and bring in Forster-Caskey or Vicente if ft.

True, but at the time if we had the choice of CMS or Muzza, the vast majority of fans would have gone for CMS, as that season he was the better player.

Personally I always thought they would have complemented each other very well.

If £5m is his value to us why should we let him go any cheaper?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. At the time Murray had a lot of critics. He is 29 now and this is probably going to be his best season in his career. Sadly it wasn't with us but who would have predicted this season he is having right now ?
