If you have a player to do a marking job on Zaha, it will probably have to be a midfielder, this allows the full back to double up and cover. The danger with this is you will be short in midfield, and midfield dominance will have a big bearing on the game.
In training now, Holloway has a marker on Zaha all the time, so he's getting use to the close attention, and as Derby found out recently, even with 3/4 players on him, he will wriggle out of it.

Off my ignore list. Your posting switches from f***ing stupid to sensible and reasoned very often. If only there was some consistency so I could make a decision either way

Exactly as he did up there last year. Luckily, the referee gave us an equally questionable penalty to even it out. Maybe Gus should spend the week talking about how we need a strong referee to ignore Zaha's antics, that is what all Premier League managers do with Suarez these days.

Luckily? Thank god for the linesman. The ref wasn't going to give, it wasn't till at least a 5 minute debate between the two it was given. Palace can commit murder at their place and get away with it. f***ing sum.

My mood depends on if I'm replying to a sensible poster, or a complete tosser , which one are you ? ???

We are good enough to win this game without worrying too much about any of their players. Just play our natural game, let's not set up to stop any of their players. Zaha is good, he's not a world beater. Just really hope that Bridge is back

Excellent post. 100% agree. We're a better team than Palace and we play better football. Just go there and play out normal game and all things being fair - we should run out winners.

f*** Zaha and his incessant cheating.

So you're the better team, who play better football ?
But can you see out a game after totally dominating it ?
Who will come out on top , total football or cheating scum ?

We have outplayed NYSE on every team we have played this season , most of those clubs have 2 or more premier standard players , we didn't man mark them .... We should fear no one in his league and certainly not change our whole style of play for one player ...
Zaha is good but we have more than enough quality players to keep I'm out of the game by playing our game alone .

We coped OK against Thomas Ince, who is a comfortably better player. We also dealt with Ben Arfa - an international class player - last season.

I'm sure Bruno and Bridge will have the experience to deal with him, but we'll see.

Don't get me wrong - Zaha's a very good player at this level.

I don't think we'll change anything about our style of play, or defending. Zaha is a standard threat, all teams have them. I was worried about Hatem Ben Arfa, Zaha isn't even close to that level of ability. Yet...

All of us in the Arthur Wank can mark Zahaha ... give him abuse from the first whistle whenever he touches the ball and he will get so upset that he will drill himself into the sodden Selhurst turf when the inevitable temper tantrum comes .:lolol:

or alternatively

he might just destroy us
