Correct. No one has had a pop at LG, nor anyone else for that matter.

I've seen LOL on NSC a lot recently and I don't like it, I never have - I find it cringey.

But, as with most things I post, my tone is very much one of jest - that much should be obvious to anyone with an IQ of 12 and above.

So YOU are the Archbishop of Banterbury?

I can't believe this shit to be honest!!

I am going to have a cuppa - and read my little girl a story - because do you know what - thats important to me - more important than watching this shit unfold.

On Saturday I will be in the North Stand cheering on The Albion - because they also are important to me.

Night all - someone turn the lights out when you have all finished eh?

From the little I have seen (read) LG is a top girl.

This all started with the statement about banning LOL, which i would put down to a bad day at the office. So, nothing to see here, lets all move on.....

I just spent ages on a post in the now closed thread, so I'll stick in here.

Can't people just accept NSC for what it is, ignore the threads that they don't think they'd be interested in, and realise that it is JUST an Internet site?

Basically I can see it from both sides - as social media matures, people embrace it and depend on it more, hence Falkor's post on Saturday night. So yes, maybe it IS more like Facebook, but that's just the way it is.

HOWEVER, it is just an Internet forum, with 'characters', trolls, and wums. And a lot of stupid people, to boot Everything I read online I take with a massive pinch of salt, because it is JUST the Internet.

The second point relates to threads such as the one started by US about LG, but also ones that ask to ban the phrase 'LOL' or people that use it. I mean does it REALLY matter what acronyms people use? Does it ACTUALLY make a difference to people's lives?

Don't let facts get in the way, anyone would think some people enjoy being melodramatic.

For the record, I find anyone LOLing who is over 15 needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

Didn't David Cameron used to send out lots of LOLs on his texts until someone told him it didn't mean 'lots of love'?

It felt like you were being serious when you told me 'My advice: don't post at all under such circumstances.' Did I get that wrong, I am new and don't quite get your sense of humour yet

Bit off of Lord Bracknell to add a further comment discussing the topic in a thread once it's been locked!

You were right in that's what I wrote, you were wrong if you interpreted it as an instruction.

Personally, I always want to commit an act of unreasonable violence against the perpetrator when I see the word "lol". Given my utter reasonability in all other matters, this is somewhat out of "loling" f***ing character.
