Surely there are going to be some classics?

"f***ing bollox joe hart u f***ing diving ****!!!! city dont deserve the league... £300million+ on players, disgrace to football, mancini would be knocked out by ferguson"

And then the slightly more reasonable;

"No excuses we got outplayed... And didnt deserve anything from the game, but utd will bounce back... They always do!!!"

Over to you, NSC. :thumbsup:

Couldn't see what all the fuss was about TBH. A VERY average game for 85 mins, sparked up a bit in the last few minutes, but other than watching in 3D for the first time, I didn't see much to think that either team were "amazing".

That's a very generous phrase, they smashed a window. Not the shop.

I thought it was a terrible game, which Man City just about deserved to win. Neither goalkeeper was tested. It was a very depressing game of football. Neither team looked particularly good. 600million people watching on TV? Not impressive advert for the Premier League.

Matches like this are always more likely to be a cagey affair though.

Pah. Logic is unwanted here. However true the sentiment is, it's disappointing that the English game is judged by games like that one. Man Utd didn't have a shot on target, that's not typical of the English game. But all the Spanish, etc, would have been sitting on the floor eating tapas and sipping some dodgy cocktail whilst criticising the English and our football ability. And tonight, they would be right. It was pathetic. And then the introduction of Danny Welbeck. Very embarrasing night for English football.

Quite amazing that Berbatov, £30 million quid's worth of talent and top scorer either last season or season before that I can't quite remember, stayed sitting on the bench while Welbeck comes on.

Not to mention Javier Hernandez. A footballer. But, no, Danny Welbeck comes on. Match fixing?

I finished work at 10, dodged the excitable football-fan night staff, plugged my ears when walking past the local pub, and just finished watching it. Rubbish.

Sitting on the floor? Spanish Japanese fusion restaurant?

I have no real feelings for City since they were taken over but sod Man U. They were the original sell outs and have been pursuing the pound relentlessly since the early 90s. Be good to see them over taken by their neighbours for a bit.

City have to beat two teams that will badly need to beat them. Newcastle to make the Champs League possibility, or the Europa - so it's worth millions to them - and QPR to remain in the Prem. You'd have to say on that showing, those clubs should fancy their chances!

Why would the Spanish criticize English football technique. I don't think there were many English actually on the pitch.

Just wait for the fallout when the funding dries up for new players.

Apart from Joe Hart, Gareth Barry, Joleon Lescott, James Milner, Micah Richards, Paul Scholes, Danny Wellbeck, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, you mean?
