If you work hard and stop complaining you might become rich one day! Too much envy out there. Too many people claiming to be unfit to work.

In the case of my mrs who has relapse remitting and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis she is unfit for work, I care for her 24/7. The benefit I receive for this after my recent increase is a mouthwatering £34.40 per week.

I sometimes consider becoming unemployed again. Must say I feel a bit bitter about working hard to support the rich & pay off debts that have nothing to do with me.

If you want to send me an e-mail, I'll take on your current role and then you may have your wish.

Do tell how the coppers that you pay as income tax helps support the rich? There is a lot of popular dialogue going round about how 'the rich should pay their way' etc etc. It may come as a surprise to you but we have a progressive taxation system- one of the most advanced in the world.

Harsh and all credit to you. I'm sure there are many others with similar or equally unfortunate circumstances

Threads like this really have no place here imo ... I for one find it offensive

What irks me the most is paying tax on overtime, if I'm willing to work 12 hour days/nights/weekends whatever to better myself I should be able to keep it. f*** everyone else mwahahaha. I am rubbing my hands together like baron greenback.

Sorry for my last comment, uncalled for. People in your situation deserve to be helped. There are too many out there who are bone idol and come from families where claiming the social seems to be acceptable whilst making no attempt in finding work. Good luck to you Sir.

No worries, apology accepted

Those who are able to work but choose not to irritate me too, but there are better ways to discuss it IMHO

There are many people out there that would do anything to be employed again....

and then there are also others out who are content scrounging off the rest of the nation on benefits for the rest of their lives....but they are going nowhere.
