He is not wrong though 83, 1-2 Anfield...84, 2-0 Goldstone...Both on a Sunday and the Goldstone game was live on ITV The Big Match Live, quite a novelty in those days.

First ever Sunday game to be broadcast live, I believe.

Of course they're confident of winning. They are a top 8 PL team and when they came to our place they could have easily been 4 up at half time. Can hardly blame them for being a bit arrogant.

Yebbut, he says we knocked them out at the same stage in 84. That was round 3 if I remember rightly. I was there.

To be fair, some of them do say not to underestimate the Albion. One of them even suggests giving Gus a round of applause for the Suarez fiasco!

I was relegated to my parents' bedroom, watched it on a small portable. The family probably wanted to watch Farming Today or some such

Let's hope we play better than yesterday then!! Bring it on I say ....... I'm now getting really excited about this day out and I can't wait to visit Anfield - listen to them singing You'll never Walk Alone and cheer the lads out as they run onto the pitch. We can do this - keep the faith!!!

NSCs very own Aldo is on there...

Now living in Brighton, I know that an unfortunate amount of their fans have a irrational strong dislike for Liverpool FC and jump on any opportunity to criticise. They also love to dispel what they call the 'myth' of Liverpools great support. I just hope we can get a good atmosphere going and not let them out sing us and bang on about it for years, although I hate to say that will probably be the case.

None the less, a win should be on the cards in another competition we should be looking to get far in.
