Am looking forward to singing this:-

Sign on, Sign on,
With a pen in your hand
and you'll never work again,
you'll never work again.

Hardly original i know but always makes me chuckle. I've waited years supporting the Albion to go mix it with the big boys of English football. So lets bring some banter and as many balloons as we like and have a cracking day out. Its Liverpool away in the Fifth round of the FA cup.

About as original as 'Does your boyfriend know you're here'.

Wow thats brilliant, I bet they've never heard it before and it will really cut to their hearts.

I just hope they don't sing anything equally clever and witty back such as 'Does your boyfriend know your here?' or that would really get to me.

Here we go again. ManUre plastic working class pride, shit stirring. :wanker:

Has a real problem being positive about life & the sticking to positive Albion stuff. Cheer up.

Call me anything but not a Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal or anyone but Brighton fan. Man United, I have never been so insulted in all my life. The only time I support United is against Palace, maybe pompey and probably over Liverpool or Man City - just. (Many City is just for the comedy value and that Man City fans are from Bury or Stockp[ort but then have the cheek to run the "we support our local team" shout).

Does this mean we can't sing the William Buckley song because Liverpool originally sung it for Maxi Rodriquez?

Fans always use others songs. I think the scousers use our "Build a bonfire" dong, not sure the words they use for it tho.

This thread is perfect example of why I don't come on this forum anymore. f***ing pathetic.

Exactly this. sing about Brighton all day why throw insults at a team with history and prestige of Liverpool. Whos fans by admission have some of the wittiest songs going. NSC makes me laugh sometimes.

I know I would enjoy it more if we managed to sing songs about our team rather than pathetic efforts about the opposition.

Is THE correct response.

Can a Mod sort this thread out if any Liverpool fans come on here and see this they might think were tin pot.

Especially as some of there forums cannot wait to welcome us to Anfield.

No thanks, songs to support our team and not have a go at Liverpool. Lets show our class and support our team and not have this small team mentality its so crap. Liverpool supporters will show us respect and we should do the same.

To true, Some of the fairest supporters in the country. I was up there in 83 when we knocked them out of the FA cup. After the team came and applauded us Jimmy Mellia beckoned the players to go to the Kop end where they received the applause from them too, some of the Kop even chanting “Seagulls”

If everyone shared that view, we would have the least spontaneous, least original and least humourous array of songs in the league, and get outsung at every match. It doesn't HAVE to be grossly offensive, but songs aimed at particular teams/cities/regions, winding up opposition fans and players are what gets everyone going. Everywhere other than Brighton, apparently.

If you truly believe that we have the most original, most spontaneous, most humorous songs in the league then you clearly don't go to many games. Our selection of songs can sometimes be so frigging boring. May be loud but SO repetitious. Al-be-un, Al-be-un plus maybe 2 others is hardly a humorous array of songs now is it?

Jeez, some of you are so boring. Lets all don our flatcaps and sit in silence, perhaps the odd smatter of applause when we get a corner or something.
Think some of you belong at rugby, not football.

No, it is the reply that agrees with you. There is my friend, a difference. I dont know where you have been but Brighton have always sung songs that have a dig at the other fans, like "There's ASBO's there" at Millwall, "You'll never fill your ground" at Palace, "The Hovis theme tune" at Huddersfield, "Peter Beale's" at West Ham. In return we get stuff thrown back at us. A part of our culture is never ceased at being amused at ourselves and you if dont get that then let others be different to you.
