yeah. many daily texts from the nsc bobble hat brigade will make him want to come back....

no player minds being reminded that he is wanted at a club and that the fans are behind them but hey, I can see where you got your username from

He needs to be playing games after a nightmare season so far and it doesn't look like he will get that here with CMS and Vokes. While I'm a bit gutted to see him turning out for another team, I'm glad he might be getting fit and finding form ready for his return.

We have Barnes and Adgerstein as back up. ???

Rather have him here than Barnes. Its not a snipe but Barnes is too hot and cold, when hes on form hes ok but he has long spells of being out of form.

Just when Hoskins seems to be over his injury problems we loan him out, terrible way to treat the fellow, cant blame him if he never wants to return, wish him every success with Sheffield United.

Gutted aswell. Thought he could really start to do something coming back from injury. But hopefully this is exactly what he needs to return to normal ready for next season?

While I think it is sad for the guy - I don't think it has called for the typical hysterical over-reaction from people on here.

Sure, he hasn't up ended getting much of a look-in this season for one reason or another, mainly injuries. I would be amazed if it wasn't sold to him on the basis that he can regular games at Bramall Lane, ready to come back fit and sharp for the new season. Coupled with the prospect that his chances may well be limited down here now, it make sense for him, for us as club and for Gus's future plans.

Whatever, it hasn't quite happened for him here this season, and a change of scenery will almost certainly do him good.

A few months back Hoskins played in that reserve game v Crawley, where we lost 5-0 and turned up at training next day wearing Ug boots, much to the amusement of a number of our youngsters who tweeted about it at the time.
I can't imagine Gus was impressed as he hates losing and given that Hoskins had achieved nothing of substance to date, I wondered if his cards were marked. It isn't always about how players perform on the pitch.

WTF? From what I can see most are just saying they thought he might have deserved more of a chance here .. but go out and do well at SU, and he hardly looks friggin delighted ... just observations .. but always takes one to start slagging off what are a pretty reasonable and genuine views

If Vokes/CMS get injured, surely we can just recall Hoskins?

He is probably our 5th choice striker and needs game time. With no cup games against weak opposition he isn't going to get that here.

I agree maybe he deserved a chance but with the attraction of first team football cant blame him.

To me he didnt look Gutted as the OP claimed & didnt look much different to how he did in his first interview as a seagull.
