They will be offering them a chance to tell all for a reduced sentance thats a certainty. There is however a certain " honour " amoungst criminals that you don't grass and if they do, they will be made to pay in prison from some heavyweight inmates.

I think they'll have a pretty tough time of it inside anyway - every black geezer inside is going to try and do them.
I would imagine that they'll end up in solitary

Now knowing a lot more about the case, the new evidence, the double-jeopardy law and having the belief that a jury can objectively understand and process facts/information/data in isolation of any other, I'm happy that justice has finally been done. I don't see an argument for this setting back British justice either. If anything being able to re-try suspects if fresh and compelling evidence becomes available (albeit with the consent of the high court) seems like progress to me.

I watched the Panorama programme at 9pm on BBC1 and the strength Stephen Lawrence's mother, Doreen, has shown in the last 18 years was unbelievable. To stay that strong, deal with the grief, anger and injustice of Stephen's awful killing has shown her to be a dignified, amazing person. It was harrowing to watch but I hope she can move on now and find happiness.

RIP Stephen Lawrence.

I think the sneering attitude towards the jurors is very harsh. Having done jury service I was amazed how seriously my fellow bench sitters took their responsibilities.

As for this being a political show trial there is only one reason why this came back to court and that is Doreen Lawrence. If it was not for her determination then this case would have sunk a long long time ago. And I think most of us would have given up a long time ago as well.

What's your take on Juries that sent down The Birmingham Six, Guildford 4, Winston Sillcott, and on and on....

The jury for the Birmingham 6 were not a fault. Evidence was surpressed, there was police fabrication and a heap of other issues. The jury could only, and correctly, work with the information presented and reached their decision based on this. You're barking up the wrong tree here.

A bit like this case and all the "new" evidence then , funny how it seems only left wing cause celebres can be ever be victims of state collusion in getting them convicted.
