So why start a stupid pointless fishing thread on New Years day. I knew if I logged on I would find at least one of these on here. YAWN!

Why? You would be moaning about him within weeks. Gus is the man, there is nobody better available. Yes he makes strange decisions sometimes but he's a young Manager learning his trade, and he will learn from the mistakes that he makes. Do you think Ferguson and Clough got everything right when they were 2 years into their management career? Of course they didn't, Ferguson still makes mistakes now, as do all the top Managers.

For whatever reason, we are shit at the moment, but we aren't shit enough to get relegated, and as long as we don't, which we won't, then we should be happy to let Gus get on with the job of building a team, a youth policy and an academy fit to take us into the Premier League.

You would have been moaning and getting on the back of Ferguson when he was struggling in his first couple of seasons at Man Utd had you been a Man Utd fan, same as you would have been on the back of Mancini last year were you a Man City fan. Things take time, we are moving in the right direction, and we will get where we need to be. And anyone who is too impatient to let Gus get on with the job of getting us there is just showing their lack of intelligence, and showing why they (fortunately) will never be successful enough to run own their own football club and make these kind of decisions.
