Everyone is focusing on this quote but I don't really see the problem with it? If you get angry and in the heat of a moment say something it doesn't make you a racist it just means you lost your cool. Unless I'm missing the obvious here.

If in the heat of the moment you resort to giving someone racist abuse, then its probably more revealing as to your true attitude and feelings on the matter.
