Sunday Lunch, traditionally roast dinner time...

So what is everyone's favourite bit in the roast dinner? If someone could create a poll that would be ideal...

- The Meat
- The Roast Potatoes
- The Yorkshire Puddings
- The Stuffing
- The Veg
- The Gravy
- Other (if other please state what else you have!)

Gotta be the meat for me!

I know a few families who have roast spuds and mash together. I find that weird.

You cant have any of it without the other. It is a symbiotic relationship. Though roast spuds for me. And I am partial to sweetcorn swimming in gravy.

As I only eat one roast dinner a year, on average, I will have to go for the cranberry sauce...just love the stuff!

Strange but not a freak, I don't like gravy

I would agree to an extent. A proper made thick gravy is lovley. I cant stand the 'oxo cube in litre of water' gravy churned up at some places. Like pouring water all over your food!

In asnwer would say goose fat roasted potatoes and parsnips are my favourite

All of it apart from the roast potatoes, can't stand them.

I am often labelled a freak for this.

well, it is pretty freaky.

the Yorkshire is the best bit, because its usually the only time you have it.

Agree. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, as Aristotle said as he tucked into yorkshire pud and beef.
 


Honourable mention for the humble cauliflower which punches above its weight on such occasions. Take a bow son! :clap2:

The cauliflower will be making an appearence in today's dinner, along with roast parsnips, roast onion and roast butternt squash.

Roast Spuds can do one.
