Chile play three at the back in daft (might suit tippy-tappy and the Albion) formations:

2011 Copa América Group C - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jara can play in any three of the positions. He was substituted in the Copa America defeat to Venezuela and played against Spain.

Could we play 3-5-2 ? The new holding midfielder doubles up as a centre-back. Or what I could suggest play 5-3-2 and use the new player as an "attacking centre-half" which is very Uruguyan.

Then the Albion team almost picks itself:

-----------------------16. Casper Ankergren------------------------
14. Iñigo Calderón 5. Lewis Dunk 3. Gordon Greer 22. Marcos Painter
11. Craig Noone-----26. Liam Bridcutt----Jara Reyes-----14. Vicente Rodríguez
-----12. Craig Mackail-Smith 9. Ashley Barnes

"He also brings versatility: he can play anywhere across the back four or as a defensive midfielder." Gus

The ideal solution until El-Abd is fit.

Didn't someone say he is on the small side? Don't get me wrong well happy with the signing but want a little height added to the squad...

Brilliant addition to the squad. Hopefully that means Ryan Harley will never been seen in the Brighton Midfield again!
Is Reyes actually match-fit? Could he slot straight in against West Ham??

From a WBA fan:
Decent enough, especially for The Championship, no disrespect intended. Can be a bit hot headed but if he stays on the pitch I think he will do a good job for you.

Primarily is a right-back. Can also play in defensive midfield and can cover at left-back.

Calderon has been poor this season so can see him taking Calde's place.

Sounds like he will do wonders for our excellent disciplinary record.

Worthing
In my own mind he will be good at 'tactical' bookings and then will act like he has been told he has a month to live when booked.

I have no knowledge if any of this will happen.
