Sounds like the type of player we are looking for, position wise.

Apparently can play anywhere across the back line or as a defensive midfielder. Small yet strong and very skilful. Could be exactly what we need.

Any occasional West Brom fans know anything about him?

I love that after weeks of speculation we suddenly sign someone who hasn't been mentioned at all (that I have seen anyway)

I know - all these so call 'people in the know' often know nothing or very little!

So can he play left back?

I have never seen him play and played in the Chile friendly with Spain.
Surprised by the signing, but not shocked.

I saw the Chile v Spain match on TV. Chile play like Spain and I thought they were the better side, but only because Sanchez was better than Suarez.

.....he is also a bit of a loose cannon and doesn't mind leaving his foot in.
Hodgson not a big fan of him which is why he doesn't get a game apparently but my buddy rates him very highly and reckons he will proove a 'very, very good championship player' for us and will also bang in the odd goal.
