This lot are so soppy it is untrue. Shall we sack em? Their fault we lost tonite in my view. Absolutely so atmosphere generated from that end of the north tonite. Half of em didn't even know the words to the second half of " my old man said, be a palace fan ". As Jeremy Kyle would say " disgrace " sorry "discuss".:rant::(

They did not lose the game, the players lost the game.

Unbelievable nonsense. But there was no noise from the north, and the atmosphere was the worst yet by far. Nervous, and almost certainly contributed.

At least they actually try to start an atmosphere and get behind the team.

Worthing
Ugh, most us were screaming our guts out, I just don't think it carries across the stands all that well. I've got a splitting headache and no voice as proof.

did look like the lower west stand was making noise towards the palace end although couldnt hear but good to see, like it when fans all get up and sing rather than moan about whos louder, didnt know so many grown men could be so childish!

Don't think you can blame one stand for not singing - pathetic! I wasn't in there was in the West but think the comment is out of order. We played SHITE - end of . . .:whistle::annoyed::rant:

Thought the north was the loudest it had been all season

Get a hearing check mate. The north was relatively quiet for most of the game (apart from the first twenty minutes) as was everywhere else. It was almost as quiet as the Sussex senior cup final:(

Why does everyone turn on the north stand? I bet you we make more noise considering we have a smaller stand than the west or east. The fact is if the west stand was full of northstanders then it would be so epic.

I'm in the north and I noticed that it was far quieter than previous matches. Perhaps 3 evening games in 7 days took it's toll, I gave up with public transport for this one and was sober so I could drive, the guy next to me was the same. It doesn't help when the players are playing the ball across their own 6 yard box with Palace players millimetres away from nicking it. Tense.

I was in in West lower in the block next to the slugs, and to be fair it was probably the loudest its been in that block so far this season.

But....there seemed to be an awkward atmosphere last night all round the ground. Where I was sat, you can hardly hear the north stand for long periods (acoustics or not, it was flat for some reason) I could see they were singing, but it just doesn't carry with any clarity to the other end. One of the problems we have is that when the away end gets properly behind one song they belt it out - we just don't seem to have any songs other than 'Albion', 'Seagulls', and 'we are Brighton' that get everyone singing together. I think this is the hangover from a shit ground like Withdean - we need to build up a decent base of proper songs (like we had in the good old days of the north stand Goldstone), and keep going so that eventually everyone knows the words, and it becomes second nature to join in. In seems a bit contrived at the moment.

Leeds and Palace have been really loud (disappointed with Liverpool) - and I have noticed that their songs are nice and slow - which means the momentum with each song builds and gets the fans really behind it. Ours are sung at breakneck speed which makes it either impossible to keep up, or even worse we sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Time to see the doctor about your hearing. I was in West Stand upper and could see/hear everybody in North Stand clapping/singing/chanting.

It only went quiet when we started sitting too deep as they all started whipering in each others ears 'We are sitting too deep,' and they were right.
