I think this is a pretty fair summary of the situation... Used to cost £24+ for a league one game in the South Stand at Withdean - £28/£30 for my padded seat in WSU up near the roof watching a Prem team doesn't seem unreasonable when you look at it like that.

Yes the club could charge less, but by bringing in decent revenue which will hopefully enable us to strengthen our squad and extend our capacity, they are probably doing the right thing.

Yes, agreed.

I think people will buckle as we get nearer the game! If we ever achieve Premiership status I think people will look back on these prices with fond memories!

My suggestion, if your wallet is feeling the pressure, would be to have one or two less pints on the night and put money straight into Albions pockets, rather than the percentage received from the retailers.

A Sussex 40 over game really doesn't require a lot of policing  It will have no impact on the Albion match.

I agree, but some of us would like to go to both games. If on the 23rd, Cricket is already paid for, so I will go to Probiz. I would also imagine SCCC would be hoping for a sell out on the night, as it is a local derby, and Sussex are going well in the CB40.

Very disapointed by the ticket prices for this.

Ok yes a Premiership team but we could end up with their reserves. I bet we end up with less people than we managed for Gillingham.

I can't get my head round what the fuss is all about concerning prices for the Sunderland cup tie. Let's go back less than a month and try and recall how many people moaned about paying £25.20 for WSU for a friendly match against Spurs. Answer -none. This is a cup tie against a Premier League side and a chance to take a scalp - irrespective of whether they put out a weakened side, and it only costs £2.80 more in WSU.

I'll be there and I also think it will virtually sell out too.

That's not true. There were plenty of people complaining about the Spurs prices.

Just had a look at the actual prices now that they are on sale. Being in Block H in WSU I was fearing that all WSU would be £28 from the prices quoted above.

Our Tickets are £24 in that Block. Reasonable I'd say.

It's priced to maximise revenue, if someone can be bothered to work out 15k at those prices it will be more than 20k at Gills prices...& less pressure (complaints) on all infrastructure/catering issues, until they resolve them

only on sale to STH . Why cant it say that on the website. rather than saying sold out .

Any newbies that see the game coming up and think oh i might try and get a ticket for that log on to find out its sold out ?

Surely it would make more sense to change that red sold out area to " On sale to STH only at present "

Only my opinion .

Right off to the train station now. Fratton park here we come !!

But it's not a league game, it's a fairly meaningless cup match, neither side will be at full strength, so £28 is way too much. I know Gus has said he will take the cups more seriously than last year, but with far more important home league games 3 days before and 4 days later, I know which games I want him to use his strongest team for.
Also, not sure I can be arsed with the P&R shambles 3 times in 8 days! Think the club have made a big mistake with the pricing for this one and a lot of fans will be put off.
