I would much rather see and hear it played by the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment Band. The PWRR incorporates The Royal Sussex Regiment and therefore most appropriate to play 'Sussex By The Sea'.

I actually think it would be a seriously good idea to do something like this on opening day with a famous artist singing it. What a grand way to start proceedings at the Amex, with 20,000 emotional Brighton supporters singing along to it! Someone please put this to Martin Perry?

LOL - I used to play darts at that pub and know the other bloke in the video. Class!

LondonBlue - I think that's an amazing idea (i'm sure some on here won't though). Maybe a modern version as above and then the marching band?! I'm going to cry at that point 100%

i think they should show a day by day photo of the amex getting built since the first day it started, kind of like a flick book if you know what i mean.
whilst playing right here right now music and when it gets to the day its built and finished it should cut to fat boy in the centre circle playing right here right now, perfection! (Y)

I agree with having the day by day flickbook to right here right now and has it gets to the final picture the teams come out for the first time

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I think a collection of Gullys from down the years, marching around the ground in their varied excellences of costumes. And in the centre-circle Belotti and two Belotti lookalikes. When whomsoever the lucky contestant is guesses the real Belotti, they are handed a pair of boxing gloves and a whip to chase him around the stadium. There'll also be lions.

That is a little sick - I like it!

The band that perform "GOSBTS" at Lewes Bonfire Night (or did the last time I went around ten years ago) always give the tune a good seeing too. They are the Kohima Band ACF Pictures and march in pukka red unforms and white tropical helmets. The will be many a "grown man with a piece of grit in the eye" I am sure on that day. I will be in France on holiday - bad planning!

The Kohima Band is the band of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment!
