Sorry to be pedantic, but the Executive Club was nothing to do with the Board Room, so I don't know how it came to be "liberated from the door of the Board Room" as claimed on E-bay?

Yep.... the old Exec club was on the ground floor, a rather 70's looking boardroom/retro airport lounge type room where you could go for half time tee's if invited !!

And I hope "boardroom" is spelt correctly on the plaque, even if it's not the boardroom sign.

I thought that. Wasn't the entrance down the stairs, just by the club shop? I am sure there was a dirty old brown sign on the outside, maybe it was nicer in, but I doubt it!

Not pedantic at all. Precisely the sort of details that need to be brought to people's attention if they're thinking of bidding...

Lots of fake dark pine etc and plastic fake leather ;-)

But there was blue sign/s similar to the one on ebay.

If you entered by the main reception entrance, past Diane and Nigel and then buzzed through to the inner areas that could then access the entrance of the exec club was, also the stairs up to the posh seats in the West Stand met there too.

Also there were the doors to the inner sanctum of the players area, corridor leading to the bootroom, tunnel to the pitch and changing rooms and boiler room where boots and kits were dried ...........

The 'This is the Goldstone' sign was given to Goldstone Middle School in about 1986.

That certainly wasn't the above the entrance to the 'exec club in the later years' I would question it's authenticity to be honest
