at home
Mile Oak school had a whole gang of contractors over yesterday clearing the snow from the play grounds ( Fire muster points) and announced that the school was open.......now its dumped on us again and we have had to close the school as the teachers cant get in and the playgrounds are full of snow again!!!!

This is getting tedious now

Got in to Burgess Hill over Clayton Hill from Hanover not as bad as last Wednesday.
Radio reports said trouble at Albourne on A23.

I'm quite surprised that it stayed as snow all night.... but it's only 0.4C here at the moment, and still steady snow.

BBC predict Max of 1C all day, does this mean we could have snow all day?

Well, yes. I'd imagine it'll be warmer than that though, and a slow thaw will set in (at least near the coast).

Just had a quick look. I'd go for milder by lunchtime (4c) and dryish.

Woke up to another 2 inches of snow in Storrington this morning on top of the 5 or 6 inches we had already. I have got blisters on my blisters after all the digging out I have been doing since last Wednesday and my side road is blocked again.

I'm supposed to be working in Poole tomorrow which isn't going to happen now - I HATE this f***ing weather....

Having just had a look at the models, all of the main ones have a strong Siberian to Scandinavia block (High Pressure) in place by next week, so the building blocks for another very cold outbreak from the East are very much in place. I'm not going to look beyond 5 days yet.
