I think he might do back four should be

Whing Tunnicliffe Caldron Mc Nulty
(RB) (CB) (LB)
That would be the best back 4

No pace, marks fresh air and gets skinned way too easy. Send him back!

He has zero positional sense, which is why he gets beaten too often, and too easily, but to say he has no pace is utter nonsense.

He beat WALCOTT in the Arse pre-season sprint tests.

And I think this is why Poyet wants to keep him. In Poyet's own words, Hoyte gives 'another option'. Maybe he'll be used in matches where we are planning a more attacking strategy.

If Arsenal will pay most of his wages then i dont see this being a bad bit of business. Just getting a cheap defender as another option. lets hope that if Gus drops him for a while he will start picking up his ideas and play football again to win his place.

Let me take a stab at this, maybe it's because the very experienced professional who happens to be the manager sees something you don't.

Has got pace to spare, developed a link up with Bennett, can pass a ball and is learning. Started really well then stupid sending off has seen his form drop but I still think he is better than Whing

It amuses me that we have signed a right back and yet people who have never seen him before are talking about playing him out of position at centre back. Elphick and Virgo have not been great this year but to say that a right back we have never seen play is a better option at centre half is ridiculous.

Agreed. Clearly has ability, has been inconsistent of late.

Gus Poyet & Arsene Wengers opinion > NSC idiots.

Spot on, yet again we are quick to knock one of our own (at the moment at least), lets give him our support, if nothing else he will be good around the squad and add competition.
