He is fairly amusing. I wouldn't go out of my way to see him live but if he is on the tellybox and there is nowt else on I want to watch he passes the time fairly well. Usually raises a chuckle but his brand of comedy has been done better by early Jack Dee.

Do you really expect people to fall for that ? :lolol:
It was rather telegraphed. :lolol:

Mind you, how typical of the Daily Mail to publish an artical that screams "See! See! It IS possible to be funny AND not offend anyone", when to many of us, he's a bit bland.

And also rather hypocritical, given that revolting article from that BITCH last month.

Do you mean Jan Moir ? second only to Richard Littlejohn in the the quality of her journalistic talent ?

Has anyone changed their mind about McIntyre since the 1st of multiple threads appeared on here? Thought not, I am happy to hold myself up to ridicule as still being a big fan and f*** the miserable sods who find him odious or a bit smug and middle class

Now that the Big Brother board's gone, could we have a Michael McIntyre board, where everyone can talk about how crap he is and how Lee Evans/Peter Kay/Al Murray is far better and edgier

I suspect he's finding the Daily Mail attention a bit of a double edged sword. He was trying to be a bit more edgy in an interview the other night.

He did some good gags about Thatcher, or 'Mrs Thatch' as he used to call her.

The minute a comic wins the approval of the Daily Mail-especially that poisonous hack Moir-is the instant where I would lose interest in their career entirely.

i think anyone using the word "odious" to describe Michael McIntyre really needs to get a sence of perspective. and stop using that damn americanism "edgy", you'll be saying everythings awesome next.

I do remember when Camila was getting it, from all sides, and 'dangerous Ben' was just beginning to turn.
He was being interviewed and Camila popped up, to which he said, something along the lines of, 'she's really nice, I would'.
Neither Ross (or whoever) nor the audience knew quite what to do/say, after too long a pause they hurriedly moved on to, tax free banking in the Cayman Islands, or something like that.
