Too many, however a couple for some reason stand out, Sayer volley against Leicester in 1978. Wardy against Mansfield 77 (he went round the back 4 twice it seemed). We were on the crest of our best ever football, there was no stopping us, until we got there and got bored watching a mid table team in the top division..

Great minds, I was think about that Sayer gaol (about the only good thing he ever did). There's Gerry Ryan against Manchester City in December 1979 (half the length of the pitch run), The stunner (amongst others) of BZ against Halifax. Paul Clark against Orient in 1978 (I think) then there was Willie Irvine against Aston Villa in 1972 as well.

Not all the times as a BHA fan have been bad, not by a long chalk.

There are Wardy and BZ goals, I also recall Garry Nelson slapping a long one in at Aldershot (?). But the most memorable goal I can recall was Jimmy Case against Charlton (7-0 match) at the Goldstone.

Jimmy Case breaking from midfield, at full pelt heading towards the South Stand (which had a goal behind it a the Goldstone young readers), high cross (from Gerry Ryan) dropping over his left shoulder, and he clattered it on the volley into the net from outside the area as it came across his body.

Jaw dropping skill. Certainly not the best BHA goal ever, but sticks in the memory.

Not the best ever goal but definately the best headed goal, Martin Chivers away to Orient in about 78-79

1978 ?? ran about 60 yards with the ball, beating about 6/7 players along the way before unleashing a 20 yarder into the north stand goal  best one ive seen also !

Thats the one. Shit, was it really 30 years ago

Zamoras vs Halifax was probably one of the best well taken

Virgos vs Swindon for importance

Gerry Ryan against Man City at the Goldstone, think it was a Boxing Day match. He got the ball in our half and started running straight at City's defence everyone was shouting at him to pass the bloody ball and the next thing he slotted it straight past Corrigan, brilliant. But that was just like Gerry, you never knew what he was going to do.

:clap2:
