What a crock of why would Kirean McKenna be remotely interested in leaving Ipswich to come to us, even if we were interested. If he does take Ipswich up, which looks very likely. We have nothing to offer that he can’t get at Ipswich and he would be in massive credit with their fans.

I watched the fans forum yesterday and unless both PBOBE and RDZ are great actors there didn’t seem to be any issues between the club and RDZ, I am not saying 100% he will be here next season, but there was nothing really to suggest he was about to sling his hook.

I would imagine the sources in Italy are about as reliable as the ones in the UK. Click bait.

The problem with all this noise is that if it is affecting how we feel, it may also be making the players uneasy as well.

Also, Ipswich are a much bigger club than Brighton.

Because with top end players as we know the results will be decent. You say little ole Brighton who had a top class midfield and a fully fit Mitoma, Pervis, March, Enciso and Levi Colwill.

Exactly one week ago, Andy Naylor uploaded 1a mailbag piece in The Athletic. There was a question about who we'd target if RDZ leaves and he answered in the article that the bar at Brighton has been raised, we're an attractive option for head coaches, meaning we could attract a higher calibre of candidates with European pedigree etc. - and he said specifically:

"That makes it less likely to be somebody such as Kieran McKenna (Ipswich) and Russell Martin (Southampton)..."

So, it's really interesting that the coaches we've been linked with are McKenna, Martin, Kompany and Frank, so high end Championship / low end PL.

I don't think where a manager has had their success is so important to Tony.
TB's appointments have been slightly more experienced on arrival than the previous one was when they arrived, and Hughton the only one with PL experience.
Ignoring time spent as assistant or in youth football;
Poyet, Brighton his first lead role, Garcia 1 season at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hyppia 2 seasons Leverkusen, Hughton 4 seasons at 3 clubs, Potter, 7 seasons in Sweden, 1 in Championship, De Zerbi 9 seasons at 6 clubs.
If the next appointment follows the growth in number of clubs and number of seasons managed pattern, we should be appointing Roy Hodgson next.

The only metric is money. And we’ve a lot more than Ipswich so we’re a lot bigger. End of really.

As has already been pointed out he was probably on our radar for the excellent work he's done with Ipswich and his pedigree, however only as an option if they didn't go up. There's no way he'd want to walk out on what he's doing with Ipswich to come to us.

See, I think it's click bait journalists, spinning comments that were positive into a negative, as you have just done, that is the real problem.
He said that if he is happy here, no other club would be of interest, and that he is happy here. He isn't saying that it depends on what mood he wakes up in, he is saying it depends on his working conditions here, as to whether he is happy to stay here, but so far so good.
