Fearful of this if they stay up. I don't think he'll transform them into a brilliant team that qualify for Europe overnight, but unlike Viera or De Boer it's the sort of appointment that implies there will be time and space for Palace to sort out their style in the same way that we did with Potter. And I think that it's got to a point down there that the fans would love that.

I'd much rather have them sack Roy today, get in someone to "keep them up" like Parker or Lampard (lol) and repeat their dreadful seasonal managerial change until it all falls apart and they drop out of the league.

McKenna is a sensible guy. Loyal to his task in hand. I think it will be quite an achievement to get Ipswich promoted due to the strong Championship this season, but he’s going to give it a good go.
So let’s say that he doesn’t quite get there with Ipswich. Will it put other clubs off him? Doubt it as he’s very well thought of.

So let’s say Palace stay up. Would he consider a move there? Probably.

Leicester, minus Maddison, Barnes and Tielemans are walking the division.

Southampton, minus Ward-Prowse, Lavia and Bella-Kotchap are second, having won something like TWENTY games in a row.

McKenna has done a fabulous job to keep Ipswich up there with the top three, but a 'strong' league, it is absolutely not.

I think you're right, unfortunately. Just one spot left to avoid and Everton, Luton and Forest are on 19, 20, and 21 points respectively. Whilst a bottom-of-the-table team will often dig in and grind out points at the business end of the season, chances ae that at least one of them will have a stinker over the next 14 matches and finish in the low 30s, and I can't see Palace not picking up the 9-10 points that'll be needed.

On the other hand, we probably already have enough points for an 8th season!

Most passes in the PL = Rodri, and 2nd most is Lewis Dunk. Van Hecke comes in at 8th. Pulis didn't criticise passing football, but he did criticise when it involved the keeper and central defenders, which we do do.

I remember when Wolves did that in the 80s and it crippled the club so badly they ended up going from division 1 to division 4 in 3 years.
