The jumpers, cardigans and rocking chair definitely tip the balance in Val's favour....

Whittaker - All the way!

Lemon tree,
Very pretty,
And the Lemon flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the poor lemon,
Is impossible to eat.

Point of order……
I’ll quite happily eat a lemon. If ever I have a drink with a slice of lemon in it I normally eat the lemon, and the same when lemon is served with fish.
if ever Mrs DiS is using a lemon in cooking and only uses half, I’ll eat the other half.
Impossible to eat, my ar5e!
Whittaker out! Doonican all the way.
wasn’t it Peter, Paul and Mary anyway?

Val Doonican every time.
Paddy McGinty’s Goat, Delaney’s Donkey, O’Rafferty’s motor car alongside his “grown up” hits.
and giving us Dave Allen
Agreed. Plus he could whistle as well. Check out 'Whistle daughter, whistle" which I believe is on his EP 'The Green Shades of Val Doonican'. (Which my Nan brought me for Christmas in about 1967).
