Sarcastic obaervation taken from a translated Russian telegram group.

“Yesterday the defenders of Russia decided to seize power in Russia.
Therefore, other defenders of Russia flew to kill the first defenders of Russia, but they themselves got killed.

And the Hero of Russia Prigozhin went to kill the Hero of Russia Shoigu.
Because of this, the Hero of Russia Kadyrov went to kill the Hero of Russia Prigozhin.

And because of this, the Hero of Russia Bortnikov opened a case against the Hero of Russia Prigozhin but immediately closed it, then said, it isnt closed after all.

Because the most important hero of Russia, Putin, first guaranteed that the heroes would be punished as traitors, and then guaranteed that they would not be, before reneging and saying they would be after all.

And no one gives a damn about those very first defenders who were killed. Neither hero nor traitor.

The main thing is that they are all defenders and heroes, and we can continue to be proud of what heroic defenders mother Russia has.“
That's pretty good

Looks like his "pardon" was pretty short lived https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-66021601

I can imagine him thinking he should have just got on with it now.

"The leader of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, remains under Russian investigation despite the Kremlin saying criminal charges against him had been dropped, state media say."

Imagine the Russian's going back on their word hey! Who'd of thought!

Not what you might have expected?

'Wagner recruitment centers resume work in Russian cities of Tyumen and Novosibirsk, state media reports'

Wagner Group recruitment centers in the Russian cities of Tyumen and Novosibirsk have resumed recruiting fighters, according to Russian state media on Monday, following temporary closures over the weekend due to the armed Wagner Group rebellion.
"The recruitment center for PMC 'Wagner' fighters in Tyumen has resumed its work as normal," an employee of the center told TASS.
The Wagner recruitment center in Novosibirsk, in southern Siberia, also resumed work on Monday, according to state media.
"A TASS correspondent reports that advertising posters have been hung back up again at the entrance to the center located in the center of Novosibirsk. On Saturday, the banners were removed, the center stopped working," TASS reported.
The Wagner Group center in St. Petersburg also told CNN on Monday that the center "continues to operate as usual in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation."

Lets face it, Prigozhin is a dead man walking. Sooner or later, he'll end up getting Litvinenko'd.

Ah ha.... so this is who he got the idea from...😉

Interesting. And that other guy with ginger beard is the now deceased miliblogger War Gonzo who was whacked last week in that video of the raid on a trench by Ukrainain special forces.

The still on left is his last second just before he was gunned down.

I did wonder whether the video of WarGonzo and Prigozhin was clever AI...but seems real enough to my untrained eye 🤔

If Prigozhin shows up in Africa with his best troops then it looks like he has successfully extracted himself from Putin's disastrous war - saving face having built his hard man credentials to succeed Putin ( or at least be kingmaker ). Now he can resume his money making over there. A good plan if it works that way.

The West doesn't really grasp the symbolic nature of Marching on Moscow, this is Russia's true fear and why they are always looking to expand it's borders. It's comparable to the attacks on the twin towers; the West thought it was an attack to kill as many as possible (why not do the Superbowl then?) but in the enemy's opinion, the Trade Centre represented the bad financial influence caused by the West.

The Russians really do think too highly of our intelligence services :lolol:

there's a lot of theory crafting out there, people are determined to overcomplicate this. or trying to score from themselves as this claim looks like, Russian casting shadow on another Russian. doesnt look so good on Putin when he's trusted a spy though, and more evidence of weakness they squabble like this.

the only conspriacy that makes sense is Prigozin wanted to get out of the front line and back to foreign operations, where there's a lot less risk and a lot more money. i reckon a few months R&R in Belerus while worrying the Ukrainians about their northern flank, then off to Africa for the summer.

Another day, another atrocity by Russia.

Death toll in Kramatorsk upgraded to 3. A further 25 have been injured. These were civilians of course. Two missiles in the same pizza restaurant isn't a coincidence.
You can forgive the odd random one that goes off course - these are Russian missiles - but this was planned and premeditated.

Events like this illustrate exactly why we and other democratic nations should give all they can to ukraine in order to win this war and push Russia back to their borders. If they ever were, Russia have no place in the ranks of civilised nations. They have, it appears to me, to have used vastly more missiles to target civilians and civilian infrastructure than military targets. Destroyed a dam to cause huge flooding and loss of life and crops, let alone potentially put at risk the safety of Europe's biggest nuclear plant. Which incidentally they may well have mined too. Give them everything we can. Do we really have any fear, after the last 16 months, that Russian conventional forces have any capacity for large scale ground operations against NATO countries. There can be no territorial concessions to such a brutal inhumane regime unless the free world wishes to give carte blanche to dictators around the world, that aggression and invasion will be rewarded. Give them everything, worry about rearming after, they have the manpower desperate to do the job, that thanks to Putin's horrendous judgement, our armed forces won't have to do.
